The national weather issues a tornado warning for all of San Francisco

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Tornado Warning early Friday morning for portions of the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Daly City, and Broadmoor.

The warning, initially issued at 5:52 a.m., was set to remain in effect until 6:15 a.m. However, it was allowed to expire early at 6:07 a.m., bringing temporary relief to residents in the area.

ABC7 spoke with several Daly City residents who described the stormy conditions. Chris, a local resident, remarked on the severity of the weather, calling it “nasty outside.”

Meteorologist Lisa Argen from ABC7 confirmed that a Level 3 storm, characterized by heavy rain and strong winds, was expected to continue until around 7 a.m., adding to the already tumultuous morning.

The intense weather has also led to power outages in several parts of the Bay Area. Utility companies are reportedly working to restore electricity as quickly as possible, though no specific timeline has been provided.

Residents are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions and heed any further warnings or advisories from local authorities.
