While Dems were still digesting the devastating consequences of his massive financial GOP support… they were hit with news much closer to home.
How fitting that Newsom was clobbered with this bad news on the same day that his Florida counterpart stood tall on the GOP stage.
The weight of the news we’ll be spotlighting in this story hits SO much harder when you remember that, in 2020, Elon Musk pulled the lever for Joe Biden. However much the left wants to turn him into a some sort of ultra-radical right-wing boogeyman, remember this:
To use that well-worn phrase, the Democrat party left HIM, not the other way around. But that started him looking more carefully at the actual policies the left was ‘championing’. The more he looked, the less he liked it.
This time around, he is personally providing a serious financial counterweight to any ‘Zuckerbucks’-style ploy the left might be trying to get away with this time around.

Formed in June, America PAC is focused on registering voters and persuading constituents to vote early and request mail-in ballots in swing states, according to one of the people. The coalition assessed that the Democrats have historically had very robust “get out the vote” campaigns and took note of the amounts of money that the Biden camp has dedicated to what are called on-the-ground efforts in swing states. America PAC will try to counter that.
After this article published, Musk on X posted a humorous meme responding to it with the caption “FAKE GNUS.” Subsequently, he wrote “Yeah” in response to a post that said: “Elon Musk went from being an Obama voter to pledging $180 million to elect DJT. The woke left really f*cked up. Badly.” — WSJ
‘Yeah’ indeed. The GOTV effort is where the GOP has often lagged behind the Dems pretty significantly. This could go a long way in helping close that gap.
That alone would have been devastating news to deliver to the Democrats.
Then along came Gavin Newsom. In his effort to drag the entire country off the left edge of the map, he didn’t stop to think about who he might be alienating in the process.
On Monday, Gavin Newsom signed a new bill into law — AB 1955 also known as Support Academic Futures and Educators for Today’s Youth (SAFETY) Act. The consequences of that decision were almost immediate.
First, the problem he is addressing:

Nope!
The mistake the Left made was in thinking the pendulum would swing left forever, and never pull back the other way. Now that the momentum is shifting the other direction, they really don’t have an answer for what they should do about it.
The obvious solution would be dialing back on their crazy ideologies… but now that their side has pushed all of their chips in, there’s really no going back short of getting absolutely demolished in the polls.
