Donald Trump has announced that if re-elected, he will launch “Operation Aurora” to combat Venezuelan criminal networks, such as the notorious Tren de Aragua gang, operating within the U.S. Speaking from a rally in Aurora, Colorado—a city grappling with violence from the Venezuelan gang—Trump also pledged to impose the death penalty on illegal immigrants who kill Americans or law enforcement officers.
The rally featured a local Aurora resident who went viral after sharing footage of her heavily fortified home, expressing fears about gang violence in her community. Trump emphasized that his plan was in response to the suffering of victims impacted by gang-related violence and criminal activity from illegal immigrants.
“To expedite the removal of these savage gangs, I will invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798,” Trump declared, vowing to dismantle every migrant criminal network within the U.S.
He also proposed a 10-year prison sentence for deported gang members and violent illegal immigrants who reenter the U.S. illegally. Moreover, Trump pledged to institute the death penalty for any immigrant who kills an American citizen or police officer.
“I’m hereby calling for the death penalty for any migrant that kills an American or a law enforcement officer,” Trump said, promising voters that their support would lead to “complete and total victory over these sadistic monsters.”
