Everything is doing a racism. The political right are all bad people. J6 was one of the worst day in American history and heroic Joe Biden rode in on a white horse to save us all… blah, blah blah.
You’ve heard it all before.
CNN broke a story that their competitor would not be running their morning show. That’s right. Joe Biden will not be starting his week off with a steaming cup of ‘Morning Joe’.
The decision by MSNBC to leave one of its most recognizable programs on the sidelines amid a seismic politics-driven news cycle, with the Republican National Convention getting underway in the wake of the Saturday shooting at Trump’s campaign rally, is certain to raise eyebrows.
A person familiar with the matter told CNN that the decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole. Given the breaking news nature of the story, the person said, it made more sense to continue airing rolling breaking news coverage in the fraught political moment. — CNN
Read that again. Carefully.
Two dozen guests. Inappropriate comment that could be used to assail the network.
They claimed they would be rolling live news across their various channels for developing whatever. There’s nothing new to report. The killer is dead. One innocent killed, two injured… and people are looking for the right path forward.
Something had the network nervous enough to run wall to wall news feeds even when there are aren’t any news developments to cover. What changed?
The only new variable was the attempt on Trump’s life.
This takes us back to the ‘inappropriate comment’ question.
Is the network using the extra day to contact every one of those guests to say that if they show any hint of disappointment that the attempt on Trump’s life failed that they’ll be out on their keister?
What about all the ‘fascist’ and ‘end of democracy’ rhetoric?
Yeah, that’s gonna have to stop too.
