Mark Cuban gets flabbergasted after Trump vs. Harris poll on X, majority of voters choose Trump

Mark Cuban’s followers appear to prefer Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, even though the billionaire himself favors Harris for the presidency. This comes amid Cuban’s increasingly vocal criticism of Trump during the 2024 election cycle.

Over the weekend, Cuban posted a poll on social media asking, “Whose persona and character would you like to see young children grow up to have?” with the options being Trump or Harris.

The results showed Harris receiving 31.1 percent of the vote, while Trump secured an overwhelming 68.9 percent. More than 800,000 X users participated in the poll. Cuban initially supported Trump during his 2016 presidential run and even considered becoming his vice president, according to the New York Post. However, Cuban has since withdrawn his support for Trump.

Back in 2015, Cuban expressed his admiration for Trump, stating, “I don’t care if he says the wrong thing. He says what’s on his mind. He gives honest answers rather than prepared answers. This is more important than anything any candidate has done in years.”

Following the poll results, many conservative and libertarian commentators responded, mocking Cuban for the apparent lack of support for Harris among his followers. Some noted that Cuban might not want his daughters to use a relationship to gain political power, alluding to Harris’ relationship with Willie Brown, which helped propel her into California politics when Brown was 30 years her senior.

In recent years, Cuban has shown support for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies in business and has accused Elon Musk of manipulating the X platform algorithm to favor “right-leaning people.” In a post on X, he argued, “Kamala Harris is not falling in line with Democratic Party policies. Kamala Harris is defining her own policies, and the Democratic Party is falling in line with her. She literally is redefining the party.”

However, many users replied to Cuban’s post, arguing that Harris doesn’t have any clearly defined policies.
