Kamala in Detroit vs Kamala in Pittsburgh

It seems Kamala Harris might be adjusting her rhetorical style depending on the — ahem — region she finds herself in.

The politician, who grew up in a wealthy neighborhood in Montreal and attended private school, wants to make sure you know she’s connecting with “the people”!

Here’s the presidential hopeful speaking in Pittsburgh:

“Thank unions for sick leave.
Thank unions for paid family leave.
Thank unions for your vacation time.”

And now, here she is in Detroit:

“You betta thank a union member for the five-day work weeeek!
You betta thank a union member for sick leeeave!
You betta thank a union member for paaaid leeeave!
You betta thank a union member for v’cation tiiime!”
