Year after year, the left wrings their hands about how bad forest fires are getting, and year after year, conservatives keep reminding them about preventative steps that are being neglected.
As the old ad says, ‘can you hear me now?’
A lovely little tourist town at a National Park in the Canadian Rockies recently found itself in the middle of a dangerous forest fire. About thirty percent of the town was wiped out. But most of it was saved, no lives were lost, and no injuries were reported.
Why?
Canada’s Liberal environment minister is a curious voice to turn to for such news — normally you might expect a stream of undiluted propaganda tut-tutting people for how bad we are. But not this time.
In this 30-second description of what went RIGHT in Jasper, Steven Guilbeault mentioned several factors — including preparedness, evacuation drills, and the one thing conservationists on the right keep harping about: forest management.
