Horrifying Disneyland Warning Drops

Health officials confirmed a second measles case connected to Disneyland, prompting renewed warnings for visitors who were at the theme park during specific dates in January.

The Orange County Health Care Agency said the infected individual visited Disneyland Park on January 22 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Officials said the same person was also at Disney California Adventure Park from 3 p.m. until closing that day.

Public health authorities urged anyone who was at the parks during those time frames to review their immunity status and monitor for symptoms.

Measles symptoms can appear anywhere from seven to 21 days after exposure, according to health officials.

Authorities said they are working closely with Disneyland management to identify any park employees who may have been exposed.

The agency emphasized that measles is highly contagious and can spread through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Officials advised people who are not fully vaccinated or unsure of their vaccination status to contact a healthcare provider immediately.

Those individuals may be advised to receive the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine if appropriate.

Health officials said people exposed within the last seven days should ask their doctor about vaccination or immune globulin to help prevent illness.

Individuals who were exposed more than seven days ago and are not immune were told to stay home and limit contact with others for 21 days.

Earlier this week, authorities confirmed a separate measles case involving an international traveler who also visited Disneyland locations.

That earlier case involved exposure at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.

Officials said potential exposure at Goofy’s Kitchen occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the same day, per the New York Post.

The confirmation of a second case raised concerns that additional visitors may have been exposed without realizing it.

Health officials said Disneyland is cooperating fully with contact tracing efforts and safety protocols.

They noted that measles outbreaks often occur in areas with lower vaccination rates.

Symptoms of measles typically include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a distinctive rash.

The rash often begins on the face before spreading to the rest of the body.

Officials warned that measles can lead to serious complications, especially in young children, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems.

They stressed that vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent infection and limit outbreaks.

The Orange County Health Care Agency said it will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates if additional cases are identified.

Visitors who develop symptoms after visiting the parks were urged to call their healthcare provider before seeking in-person treatment.

Officials said calling ahead helps prevent further spread in medical offices and hospitals.

Disneyland has not announced any changes to park operations as a result of the confirmed cases.

The theme park remains open, and officials said there is no immediate indication of widespread transmission.
