Top Streamer Stuns With Vile Remark After Kirk Murder

Popular left-wing streamer and online debater Destiny, whose real name is Stephen Bonnell, is facing backlash after comments that appeared to condone the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a livestream following Kirk’s killing, Bonnell stated that conservatives should feel unsafe when attending public events.

“I mean, you need conservatives to be afraid of getting killed when they go to events, so that they look to their leadership to turn down the temperature,” Bonnell said.

“The issue is right now, they don’t feel like there’s any fear. I don’t know. It’s like memes. It’s just memes to everybody, I guess. I don’t know, bro.”

The remarks immediately drew widespread condemnation, with critics accusing Bonnell of encouraging political violence.

During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Bonnell doubled down on his earlier comments and refused to denounce the attack.

“I think that liberals need to wake up and finally realize that if they’re not willing to do it, it will never come down,” Bonnell said on the program.

He went further, suggesting Kirk’s assassination was tied to the presidency of Donald Trump.

“If you wanted Charlie Kirk to be alive, Donald Trump shouldn’t have been president for the second term,” Bonnell claimed.

“Every time he’s in office, this happens. People joked about when Biden came in, it was so boring, nothing was going on. Seven out of ten of the largest protests in American history have happened under Donald Trump.”

This was not the first time Bonnell had faced criticism for violent rhetoric.

Trending Politics reported that last summer, during another livestream, Bonnell justified the killing of retired firefighter Corey Comperatore, who was fatally shot during an assassination attempt on soon-to-be President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“F**k it, f**k the dude, the firefighter guy, f**k Trump, f**k the people that support him. I just want you to know, okay, just in case you’re confused or it seems like I’m, you don’t, whatever. If one of you were in the crowd and you’re a conservative fan of mine and you end up, you know, getting blown away or whatever the f**k, I’m making fun of you the next day on Twitter. I am, 100%,” Bonnell said at the time.

Asked later by Piers Morgan if he would condemn the assassination attempt, Bonnell responded, “No, I won’t. Absolutely not.”

The consistency of Bonnell’s comments over time has fueled calls for accountability.

A number of conservative activists and commentators have demanded Bonnell face legal consequences for his statements about Kirk’s killing.

“This is the literal definition of terrorism,” said InfoWars founder Alex Jones. “Cowards like him are about to be very, very surprised.”

Other commentators echoed similar concerns.

“I don’t want Steven Bonnell to be deplatformed for his odious opinions. I want him imprisoned,” wrote U.K.-based journalist Connor Tomlinson on X.

Tomlinson added, “Destiny has encouraged violence against conservatives for years. He is a wretched, resentful creature and needs to sit in a cell for a very long time for helping build the leftist permission structure that got Charlie Kirk killed.”
