WH Trolls Pop Star’s Anti-Trump Post With Epic Clapback

The White House responded sharply after pop star Ariana Grande reshared an Instagram post criticizing Americans who voted for President Donald Trump in last year’s election.

Grande reposted a message from “A Bit Fruity” podcast host Matt Bernstein, which questioned whether Trump supporters had seen tangible improvements in their daily lives under his presidency.

In her post, Grande asked whether groceries had become more affordable, health insurance premiums had decreased or work-life balance had improved during Trump’s tenure.

She also highlighted broader concerns, including immigration enforcement, the treatment of trans-identifying individuals and free speech protections.

Grande, 32, publicly supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

Her resharing emphasized what she described as widespread hardships under Trump-era policies and called into question whether the promises made to voters had been fulfilled.

The White House fired back with a statement from spokesperson Kush Desai, using playful references to some of Grande’s song titles.

“Save your tears, Ariana. Because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments,” Desai said, quoting the singer’s remix with The Weeknd, according to the New York Post.

“He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans,” Desai added in another music-related jab. “Get well soon, Ariana!”

Several conservatives also responded on social media to Grande’s resharing.

X account Libs of TikTok wrote, “Hey Ariana Grande, as a Trump voter I will answer your question: Yes life got better since Trump became President! Secured our border, made cities safer, banned racist DEI and child mutilation, historic peace deals, American hostages rescued, cut down government fraud and waste, protected women’s sports, secured trillions in new investment into the US, brought back American jobs. I do not regret my vote for a second.”

“It’s so ironic to see someone like Ariana Grande, who doesn’t have to deal with financial stressors or regular life inconveniences, question the lives of Trump supporters as if she actually cares about everyday Americans struggling,” another X user commented.

“Yes, life is much better under Donald Trump. I can actually sleep at night knowing tomorrow when I wake up that America is safer from criminals and illegals,” another added.

The exchange highlights the intersection of celebrity influence and political discourse.

Grande questioned the measurable outcomes of Trump’s presidency, while the White House emphasized policy achievements and economic gains, framing the debate around results rather than ideology.

This incident also illustrates the broader trend of political polarization on social media, where figures from entertainment and politics often engage in high-profile exchanges.

By using humor and cultural references, the White House aimed to counter criticism from liberal voices while reinforcing the administration’s record on economic and regulatory issues.

The responses demonstrate the increasingly visible role celebrities play in shaping political conversations and the rapid public reactions such commentary provokes.

Both Grande’s post and the ensuing White House and social media responses underline how modern political debates often blend entertainment, culture and policy.
