Days after President Donald Trump ripped Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) over his lax approach to the crimes committed by Somali gangs in his state, the Democrat governor’s daughter released a profanity-filled video on TikTok defending her father.
On Thanksgiving Day, Trump released a blistering statement on Truth Social, where he outlined the devastating effects of unchecked immigration into the U.S. The president’s comments came after two National Guard soldiers were allegedly shot by an Afghan national in Washington, D.C.
Sarah Beckstrom was brutally killed in the shooting, while Andrew Wolfe remains in the hospital, making significant progress.
Trump referred to the migration crisis in the U.S. as a “burden” that marks “the leading cause of dysfunction.” He then referenced the Somali community wreaking havoc in Minnesota as an example.
“As an example, hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota. Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for ‘prey’ as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses, hoping against hope that they will be left alone,” Trump wrote.
“The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both, while the worst ‘Congressman/woman’ in our Country, Ilhan Omar, always wrapped in her swaddling hijab, and who probably came into the U.S.A. illegally in that you are not allowed to marry your brother, does nothing but hatefully complain about our Country, its Constitution, and how ‘badly’ she is treated, when her place of origin is a decadent, backward, and crime ridden nation, which is essentially not even a country for lack of Government, Military, Police, schools, etc…” he added.
Trump’s words inspired several in the MAGA community to torment Walz by calling him a “r*tard” as they drove by the governor’s mansion in Minnesota.
Walz’s daughter, Hope, wasn’t too thrilled by the comments aimed at her father.
The governor’s daughter lambasted the president, saying that his remarks led her family to experience a barrage of offensive slurs, per the Daily Mail.
“The president calling my dad what he did has unleashed a f***ing s***storm regarding offensive language towards me and my family,” Hope said.
“You can call me whatever you want, you can call my dad, my mom. When it’s Gus, f*ck to the no. F*ck to the no. He dealt with people calling him that last August and now there’s a resurgence,” she added, referring to her brother, who has a non-verbal disability.
Hope revealed that as she and her family were driving home, they were greeted with “R-words.”
“I have people DMing me saying absolutely horrendous things. When I was home last week, somebody drove by and screamed that we were R-words,” she said. “What world are we f*cking living in.”
In Hope’s since-deleted video, however, she didn’t mention Somali crime, gang violence, or the Afghan shooting. Her outrage was over words, not the violence that sparked them.
