Trump’s Christmas Decree Wows

President Donald Trump launched the Christmas season Monday with a holiday message that has energized millions of supporters across the nation.

The White House released a photo showing Trump standing beside a towering Christmas tree decorated with gold ribbons and red ornaments in what many are calling a return to traditional American holiday celebrations.

Trump posted the image with a simple but powerful caption that immediately went viral: “We’re saying MERRY CHRISTMAS again!”

The statement has become one of the most widely shared presidential holiday posts in recent years as it echoes a promise Trump made during his first presidency that resonated with millions of Americans.

The Christmas tree featured in the photo follows a traditional design scheme. Gold and red decorations give the display what observers describe as an old-world American aesthetic.

Behind the President hang portraits of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, along with other historical leaders. The setting adds a sense of historical continuity to the holiday display.

The White House has centered this year’s holiday theme around tradition, faith and national pride.

White House Christmas decorations in 2024–thanks to first lady at the time Jill Biden–drew sharp criticism for their unconventional and underwhelming aesthetic.

“Cheap and ugly. Jill Biden has no taste,” one X user remarked about Biden’s display.

Another wrote, “Jill Biden’s White House Christmas Decorations are so bad Joe’s gonna Pardon her next [sic].”

The Christmas tree itself quickly became a focal point of critique. Unlike the iconic Rockefeller Center tree known for its statuesque presence, the White House tree in 2024 presented itself a notably different profile.

A centerpiece carousel installation also drew attention, with some suggesting its design evokes memories of vintage holiday decorations from the Great Depression era.

In 2023, Biden was blasted after posting a video to X showing dancers tapping around the holiday-decorated White House, whose theme that year was “Magic, Wonder and Joy.”

“A bit of magic, wonder, and joy brought to you by the talented tappers of Dorrance Dance, performing their playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!” the first lady’s post read.

Last month, the White House announced it will reopen public tours that were suspended in August as the Trump administration began clearing out the East Wing to make way for President Donald Trump’s planned $300 million ballroom.

The demolition removed a section of the executive mansion that had previously served as the main entrance for visitors and a popular spot for taking selfies during the holidays.
