Trump’s Antifa Moves Set Off Massive Chain Reaction

Several prominent Antifa figures have left the United States or are planning to relocate abroad as scrutiny from the Trump administration intensifies.

These moves follow President Donald Trump’s designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist group and his directive for federal authorities to dismantle the organization’s U.S. networks.

Mark Bray, a key financier and American advocate for transnational Antifa operations, announced plans to move to Spain, citing concerns for his safety after heightened media attention.

Prior to departing, Bray posted on Bluesky, urging continued militant activity: “Only mass antifascism, legal or not, can save us.”

Despite the relocation, he will continue teaching remotely at Rutgers University, offering courses on “Terrorism” and the “History of Antifascism,” even as a Change.org petition calls for his dismissal, the Washington Examiner reports.

Bray’s book, Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, is considered a practical reference for Antifa activists.

Approximately half of the book’s proceeds are funneled to Antifa International, which provides financial support to hundreds of affiliated chapters worldwide.

This funding assists groups like Atlanta Antifascists and Central Oregon Anti-Fascist Action with legal fees, riot equipment and emergency relocation for members at risk of law enforcement action.

Recently, Antifa International temporarily halted its U.S.-based donation channels, attributing the pause to Trump’s executive orders.

Previously, the organization accepted contributions through platforms such as Patreon, FundRazr and Action Network.

Federal policy now allows authorities to prosecute anyone supplying material support to Antifa, while intelligence agencies are evaluating whether to classify international chapters as foreign terrorist organizations.

Other notable members have reportedly sought refuge overseas.

Caroline Victorin and her husband, Johan Victorin, co-founders of the Portland-based Rose City Antifa, are believed to be hiding in Varberg, Sweden.

Reporting indicates the couple helped introduce European Antifascist methods into U.S. operations.

Rose City Antifa has been linked to attacks on political opponents and government property, including actions targeting ICE personnel.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stressed that federal authorities will vigorously prosecute illegal doxxing of ICE agents.

“We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law. These criminals are taking the side of vicious cartels and human traffickers,” she said.

The White House recently convened a “Roundtable on Antifa,” instructing Cabinet members to explore designating the group as a foreign terrorist organization.

Participants, including Senator Marco Rubio and adviser Stephen Miller, highlighted Antifa’s international ties and domestic coordination. Trump indicated his approval, saying, “I think it’s the kind of thing I’d like to do… let’s get it done,” according to RedState.

A foreign terrorist designation would enable the federal government to monitor communications, seize assets and enforce tougher penalties on convicted members.

Legal experts note that while the domestic designation carries mostly symbolic weight, labeling the group internationally could significantly disrupt funding streams and deter street-level militants.

These measures illustrate a broad, coordinated federal effort to confront organized far-left extremism, safeguard ICE personnel and protect public property.

Analysts assert that combining domestic and international enforcement represents the most forceful Antifa crackdown in U.S. history.
