Melania Trump just delivered a decisive Christmas season win and the numbers were not close.
A new Daily Mail poll shows Americans overwhelmingly prefer her White House Christmas decorations over those of Jill Biden and Michelle Obama.
The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted by JL Partners on Dec. 20 and 21. Respondents were shown anonymous photos and asked to pick which White House Christmas decor they liked better.
When matched against Jill Biden’s 2024 decorations, Melania Trump won 61% to 39%. The photos were unlabeled, removing partisan cues and forcing voters to judge strictly on style and presentation.
The result was not driven by Republicans alone. Democrats, independents, and Republicans all favored Melania’s decor. Even Democrats chose Trump’s decorations by a 54% to 46% margin.
Melania also crushed Michelle Obama’s 2016 White House Christmas look. In that matchup, Trump won 67% to 33%, a landslide that crossed party lines once again.
Among Democrats, Melania still came out on top against Obama, winning 62% to 38%. That result surprised even pollsters familiar with partisan cultural divides.
Respondents viewed a single photo representing each First Lady’s decorating style. Melania’s featured elegant trees, gold accents, and a dramatic East Room display emphasizing symmetry and tradition.
Jill Biden’s decor leaned heavily on oversized bells, bright installations, and playful themes. Michelle Obama’s approach focused on modern touches and bold colors.
The blind format mattered. Pollsters said removing names produced results that differed sharply from social media narratives and mainstream media commentary surrounding this year’s White House decor.
Melania’s win marks a reversal from years of media mockery following a secretly recorded 2018 conversation, as the Daily Mail reported.
“I’m working my a** off on the Christmas stuff,” Melania was heard saying in the leaked audio.
“Who gives a f*ck about the Christmas stuff and decorations?” she added.
The clip was weaponized for years by critics questioning her sincerity.
Voters now appear unmoved by that episode. The poll suggests Americans judge the final result, not the media narrative built around it.
This is not Melania’s first victory. A Daily Mail poll in 2017 also found her decor beating Jill Biden’s, including among Democrats by a narrow margin.
The poll included broader Christmas questions. “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” ranked as the favorite song at 26% overall across parties.
The most disliked song was “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer,” rejected by 35%. Ugly Christmas sweaters topped the list of traditions Americans want gone.
One final note was political. President Donald Trump was named the preferred Christmas dinner companion by Republicans, while Democrats favored Barack Obama and Kamala Harris.
