Trump Unveils Early Christmas Gift for Americans

Americans could receive an early Christmas gift from the Trump administration.

As part of President Donald Trump’s tariff strategy, the president has pledged a $2,000 check for Americans in the form of a dividend.

Early on in the Trump administration, Democrats and a minority of Republicans criticized the president for implementing tariffs against other countries, calling such a policy “extreme.”

Despite the backlash, the president remained defiant and continued implementing tariffs, which raked in billions of dollars in revenue for the U.S.

It appears that such steadfast decision-making could benefit the American people, Trending Politics reported.

“People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS! We are now the Richest, Most Respected Country In the World, With Almost No Inflation, and A Record Stock Market Price,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“401k’s are Highest EVER. We are taking in Trillions of Dollars and will soon begin paying down our ENORMOUS DEBT, $37 Trillion. Record Investment in the USA, plants and factories going up all over the place,” he added. “A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone.”

Conservatives in the MAGA community praised Trump’s announcement.

However, former Vice President Mike Pence (R) didn’t appear too thrilled.

The former vice president, who is reportedly gearing up for a 2028 presidential run, said he hoped the U.S. Supreme Court would overrule the president’s tariffs.

“I don’t believe the Constitution… affords the President… the authority to unilaterally impose tariffs on friend and foe,” Pence said. “American businesses and American consumers pay American tariffs.”

In October, the Ontario Government of Canada released a blatantly edited commercial of Ronald Reagan allegedly criticizing tariffs as a jab at Trump.

Such a controversial move enraged the president, who immediately canceled trade talks with Canada and raised tariffs on the country by 10%.

“Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now,” Trump said.

In an interview with ABC News, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent praised Trump’s tariff strategy.

“With tariffs, President Trump is rebalancing trade and bringing back U.S. manufacturing after decades of decline. Factories are reopening, high-paying jobs are returning, and America is winning again,” Bessent said.

Bessent also pointed out the national security implications associated with tariffs.

“Tariffs are national security. President Trump used them to stop China’s rare earth threats, fight fentanyl, and bring trillions in new investment to America,” he said.
