Former President Donald Trump made a flashy appearance at a Wisconsin airport Wednesday, arriving in a “big, beautiful MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN Garbage Truck.”
Dressed in an orange safety vest, Trump rode in the passenger seat of the MAGA-themed truck, circling the tarmac to greet reporters with a grin.
“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump asked the press, signaling it was his response to recent remarks from President Joe Biden.
He then quipped, “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,” as a direct jab at Biden’s recent comment referring to some Trump supporters as “garbage.”

The appearance comes shortly after Biden, during a call with Voto Latino Group, had criticized Trump’s supporters in response to remarks made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe.
At a Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend, Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage,” prompting Biden to condemn Trump’s “demonization of Latinos” and label his supporters as “garbage.”
Biden’s comments quickly ignited backlash from Republicans, with many drawing comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 remark that half of Trump’s supporters could be put into a “basket of deplorables.”
Criticism surged as conservatives and Trump allies seized the moment to spotlight what they view as divisive rhetoric from the Biden administration.
Amid the fallout, the White House attempted to soften Biden’s remarks.
The official transcript of his statement was edited to insert an apostrophe in “supporters,” suggesting the president had meant only to refer to Hinchcliffe’s comments rather than all Trump backers.
Biden also clarified on social media, writing, “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say.”
Vice President Kamala Harris joined the fray, aligning herself with Puerto Ricans in a new campaign ad that referenced Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria in 2017.
In the ad, Harris states, “I will never forget what Donald Trump did.
He abandoned the island and offered nothing more than paper towels and insults,” recalling a moment that left a lasting impression on many Puerto Ricans.
Meanwhile, Trump distanced himself from Hinchcliffe’s controversial remarks, claiming he was unfamiliar with the comedian.
Sitting in the garbage truck, he dismissed any ties to Hinchcliffe’s comments and professed his support for Puerto Rico, saying, “Nobody has done more for Puerto Rico than me.
I took care of them when they had the big hurricanes. They love me, and I love them.”
“I don’t know anything about the comedian,” he added. “I heard he made a statement, but he’s a comedian. What can I tell you? You put comedians up, and I guess he went on early in the show.”
Hinchcliffe later defended his remark, asserting it was intended as humor rather than insult.
Despite his comments, he faced significant bipartisan criticism.
The MAGA garbage truck made its way alongside Trump’s motorcade en route to a rally in Green Bay, where the former president is expected to address his supporters and perhaps elaborate on his recent “garbage” rebuttal.
