Trump Suffers Brutal Loss

President Donald Trump is facing new pressure after a fresh poll showed his approval rating slipping as concerns over Iran and rising costs continue to grow.

The numbers come at a tense moment, following Trump’s aggressive military posture toward Iran and economic strain felt by voters nationwide.

An X post circulating after the poll highlighted the drop, with users citing both foreign policy and inflation as key drivers of dissatisfaction.

According to a Daily Mail and JL Partners survey of over 1,000 registered voters, Trump’s approval rating now sits at 43%.

That marks a three-point drop from late March, when the president held a 46% approval rating.

The poll’s margin of error is 3.1%, but the trend shows a clear downward shift.

The latest figure is also just one point above Trump’s lowest approval rating of his second term, which hit 42% in mid-March.

Economic pressure appears to be the biggest issue weighing on voters.

A total of 43% of respondents who disapprove of Trump said inflation and cost of living concerns are their primary reasons.

Gas prices have surged nearly 40% since the Iran conflict escalated, adding to frustration at the pump.

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline now sits at $4.17, up sharply from $2.98 at the start of the conflict, according to AAA data.

Foreign policy is the second major driver behind the president’s declining support.

Among those who disapprove, 36% pointed to Trump’s handling of the Middle East as a key concern, per the Daily Mail.

That figure has jumped from 28% just weeks earlier, signaling growing unease over the Iran situation.

The poll comes shortly after Trump announced a two-week ceasefire following earlier threats to “annihilate” Iran.

Trump’s overall disapproval rating now stands at 57%, with 41% of voters saying they strongly disapprove.

Despite the dip, the president continues to hold strong support among Republicans.

A total of 79% of GOP voters surveyed said they either strongly or somewhat approve of Trump’s performance.

However, support among independents is weakening.

Just 30% of independents said they approve of Trump, down from 34% in the previous survey.

Democratic support remains minimal, with only 12% approving and 82% disapproving.

The poll also comes amid internal shakeups within the administration.

Attorney General Pam Bondi was removed from her position last week after criticism over key legal battles.

Weeks earlier, former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was also pushed out following controversy during her tenure.

With economic concerns rising and divisions over foreign policy deepening, the latest numbers suggest Trump is entering a more volatile phase of his presidency.
