Trump Hater Scrambles After Secret Service Visit Over Cryptic Leavitt Tweet

Two Secret Service agents appeared at the home of a Nebraska activist Friday after she posted a message on social media about White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Jamie Bonkiewicz, a left-wing activist from Nebraska, documented the encounter on video and shared it online, where it has been viewed more than one million times.

The visit came approximately 24 hours after Bonkiewicz wrote on X, “When Karoline Leavitt gets what she deserves, I hope it’s televised.”

Two men displaying Secret Service credentials arrived at Bonkiewicz’s front porch to question her about the post.

The agents asked whether the statement constituted a veiled threat against Leavitt, who serves as press secretary in the Trump administration.

During the conversation, which was captured on video by another individual present at the scene, the agents inquired about Bonkiewicz’s political affiliations and intentions behind the post.

Bonkiewicz told the agents she wanted to see members of the Trump administration face trial for what she described as crimes against American citizens.

She specifically mentioned wanting to see Leavitt on trial.

The video begins mid-conversation with one unidentified agent asking Bonkiewicz to clarify her intentions.

“You don’t want to perceive any ill will towards these people, other than what you’re saying?” the agent asked.

Bonkiewicz responded, “Yeah, I want to see her trial.”

The agent proceeded to ask whether she attends demonstrations, but Bonkiewicz declined to answer that question.

He then asked if she possessed any weapons in her residence, to which she answered no.

The person filming the encounter asked the agent to define what the Secret Service considers crossing the line on social media platforms.

“That’s a very good question,” the agent said.

“Technically, I believe in freedom of speech, everybody has that. Crossing the line is when you issue a direct threat, like ‘I will go kill the president’… statements like that.”

The agent characterized Bonkiewicz’s post as a veiled threat before stating that after learning her intentions, the matter would be treated as a non-issue and would conclude with a written report.

“I never said anything about killing anybody,” Bonkiewicz stated during the exchange.

The agent asked again about her intentions regarding the Leavitt post.

Bonkiewicz replied, “The trials, the Nuremburg trials. When all of this s*** it over, I want to see all of them (the Trump administration) go to trial, and I want it to be televised, so I can watch it.”

Bonkiewicz has a history of political activism on social media platforms.

She has used the same X account to share a photograph of herself wearing a shirt with the words “Is he dead yet?” in what appears to be a reference to President Donald Trump, who survived an assassination attempt in July 2024.

Her Facebook profile shows her wearing apparel critical of Republican Senator Pete Ricketts of Nebraska and includes a photo with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

In 2023, Bonkiewicz livestreamed state legislative debates concerning abortion and so-called transgender healthcare.

The following year, she testified at a state Board of Education hearing regarding sexually explicit materials in school libraries.

After the encounter, Bonkiewicz posted the video with a caption stating, “The Secret Service came to my door today because of a tweet. No threats. No violence. Just words. That’s where we are now.”
