Trump Family Faces Possible Deportation

In what could backfire pretty heavily for Republicans, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) introduced legislation to eliminate dual citizenship in the U.S., forcing Americans to choose where their loyalty stands.

The Ohio Republican is expected to introduce legislation next week to end dual citizenship. In a statement, he expressed his appreciation for America after arriving from Colombia, as Resist the Mainstream previously reported.

“One of the greatest honors of my life was when I became an American citizen at 18, the first opportunity I could do so,” he told Fox News. “It was an honor to pledge an Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America and only to the United States of America.”

Moreno’s controversial legislation could spell trouble for many, including First Lady Melania Trump and Barron Trump, both of whom hold U.S. and Slovakian citizenship. The first lady was born in Slovakia and came to the U.S. in 1996.

In 2001, Melania secured an EB-1 visa and became a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. Five years later, she obtained her citizenship.

If Moreno’s legislation passes, Melania and Barron would face an ultimatum: choose America or leave.

However, it seems that the Ohio congressman’s bill is very unlikely to pass and would be struck down by the Supreme Court, which protects dual citizenship, according to the Daily Mail.

As the Daily Mail pointed out, such a proposal comes days after an Afghan Army veteran allegedly shot two National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C., in what the White House described as a “terror attack.”

Last week, Afghan suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal allegedly opened fire at 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe. Beckstrom unfortunately succumbed to her injuries, but Wolfe has been making steady progress at the hospital. The Afghan national entered the U.S. in 2021 after the U.S.’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, which then-President Joe Biden oversaw.

Following such a tragedy, the Trump administration took sweeping immigration-related restrictions, including pausing all Afghan visas and temporarily banning immigration from third-world countries.

On Truth Social, the president emphasized the consequences that immigration has had on the U.S.

“Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many,” he said.

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization,” he added.
