Trump Admin Stuns With Jaw-Dropping Feat in New Reveal

Federal officials have located more than 145,000 minors who entered the United States without parents or guardians and were previously unaccounted for under the Biden administration.

The discovery follows a report from the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General in August 2024, which identified systemic failures in tracking unaccompanied minors.

The report found that over 323,000 children had not been properly registered, and tens of thousands had either not received court notices or failed to appear for immigration proceedings.

Former federal official Tara Rodas attributed the missing children issue to both lax border enforcement and internal mismanagement within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

She noted that releasing minors to sponsors without thorough vetting created opportunities for exploitation, trafficking, and abuse.

“Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, he first secured the border, which absolutely cut down on the flow and in the child trafficking economy,” Rodas said, emphasizing that strong border security is the first step in safeguarding unaccompanied minors.

Rodas said reform efforts focused next on the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), the HHS division responsible for placing minors with sponsors.

Leadership failures within ORR had allowed children to disappear from oversight, leaving them vulnerable to criminal networks.

Senior advisor John Fabbricatore and acting ORR Director Angie Salazar were credited with overhauling operations to prioritize accountability and coordination with law enforcement.

Under their leadership, structured follow-up procedures, interagency communication, and direct welfare checks were implemented to ensure minors remained safe after placement, according to LifeZette.

Federal authorities, including ICE, the FBI, and DHS, conducted in-person visits to verify the safety of minors placed with sponsors.

Rodas described the approach as hands-on and systematic, allowing officials to locate children who had previously fallen out of the federal tracking system.

“They’ve been able to go out and do a concerted effort … finding these children,” she said.

Border czar Tom Homan confirmed that investigations remain ongoing for additional cases but hailed the recovery of 145,000 children as a major milestone.

“President Donald Trump promised that we would find these children. Agencies remain fully engaged in pursuing leads across the nation,” Homan said, according to Voz.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized the broader significance of the initiative.

“Too many of these children were exploited, trafficked, and abused,” she said, noting that federal authorities will continue operations until every missing child is accounted for.

Officials highlighted that the effort demonstrates the importance of strict oversight, robust placement procedures, and interagency cooperation to protect vulnerable minors.

The recovery effort illustrates both the scale of the challenges in managing unaccompanied minors and the potential consequences of policy failures.

Advocates for stricter immigration enforcement note that without comprehensive monitoring, children are at heightened risk of being lost in a system that lacks accountability.

By contrast, proponents of reform stress that interagency collaboration and improved oversight can mitigate these risks and provide a safer framework for minors entering federal custody.

Federal officials continue to pursue leads to locate remaining unaccounted-for minors, while also examining systemic reforms to prevent similar failures in the future.

The ongoing operation underscores the necessity of combining border security, sponsor vetting, and diligent federal oversight to protect vulnerable children and restore public confidence in immigration enforcement processes.
