A resurfaced video clip that Resist the Mainstream previously reported on has put “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin in an uncomfortable position.
The conservative panelist on the liberal talk show may soon have to don a MAGA hat after President Donald Trump successfully secured the release of Israeli hostages from Gaza.
The clip, which has gained renewed attention on social media, shows Farah Griffin making a bold promise shortly after Trump’s election victory last November.
She pledged to wear the signature red MAGA hat on the show if the incoming president could accomplish what many thought impossible.
“If he does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say thank you for doing it,” Farah Griffin stated in the footage.
The statement was made during a discussion about Trump’s potential policies and priorities following his electoral win.
President Trump delivered on the diplomatic achievement last Wednesday when he brokered a deal between Israel and Hamas.
The agreement led to the release of the remaining Israeli hostages who had been held in Gaza following months of captivity.
Donald Trump Jr. brought the clip back into the spotlight on Monday, sharing it across social media platforms.
“Sending this to the top. Let’s go,” the president’s son wrote, making it clear the Trump family expects Farah Griffin to honor her commitment.

The hostage release came as part of a broader peace agreement that President Trump formalized during a high-profile ceremony in Egypt.
The signing took place in Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday, with Trump surrounded by numerous world leaders from the Middle East and Europe.
“This took 3,000 years to get to this point. Can you believe it? And it’s going to hold up too. It’s going to hold up,” Trump declared as he signed the document at the ceremony.
His remarks emphasized the historic significance of the moment and the ancient conflicts in the region. The gathering included an impressive roster of international figures.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz all attended the historic signing.
Leaders from Gulf nations including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates also participated in the ceremony, according to reporting from the Daily Mail.
These countries have played crucial roles in regional diplomacy and have been involved in previous attempts to broker peace in the Middle East. However, two notable parties were absent from the proceedings in Egypt.
Representatives from both Hamas and Israel did not attend the signing, raising questions about the implementation of the agreement moving forward.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received an invitation from President Trump but declined to participate.
Trump, nevertheless, characterized the signing as a pivotal moment for the Middle East.
He suggested the agreement represented a breakthrough that many observers had considered unattainable just months earlier, particularly given the intensity of the conflict.
“This is the day that people across this region and around the world have been working, striving, hoping, and praying for,” Trump stated during the ceremony.
He credited recent efforts for achieving what skeptics believed could not be accomplished through traditional diplomatic channels.
“They have done things over the last month that I think were really unthinkable. Nobody thought this could happen. With the historic agreement we have just signed, those prayers of millions have finally been answered,” Trump added.
