You don’t miss a six-inch putt, and you don’t miss a clean shot like the one the assassin had… not under ordinary circumstances, anyway.
These circumstances were anything but ordinary. The odds were tilted in the bad guys’ favor.
Whether the psycho shooter was working alone or part of something bigger and more nefarious, the Keystone Cops protecting the President didn’t help his odds any by stacking the deck in favor of the bad guy.
Fortunately for Trump, he didn’t just have his detail working to keep him safe.
Trump went off script. He dropped the teleprompter — and even joked about it. He asked for the immigration graphic to go up on the big screen. Trump turned his head to look at it… and that tiny pivot of his neck changed the trajectory from lethal headshot to badass battle scar.
History was changed in that moment, and to those of us willing to admit that not everything real in life can be measured in a laboratory, God deserves the credit.
That’s how this week’s message begins, with a reminder that even when it looks like our life is going off-script, there is a God in Heaven whose guiding hand we can trust… even when we find ourselves neck-deep in The Suck.

This week, we’re looking at Jesus, Pilate, Barabbas, and the religious keepers of the kingdom who are selling out Jesus because he’s flipping their tidy little world upside down.
Dear young Christian male, this book you’re about to read is meant to challenge you to your very core. Its intent is not to make you feel warm and fuzzy. Some of the chapters will upset you greatly, especially if you’re a dandy who was raised with kid gloves by a helicopter mommy.
That said, in addition to the holy introspection contained herein, this book will also shoot adrenaline into your soul. It’ll push you to be a Godly risk taker and earth shaker. A veritable Rebel With A Cause just like the Captain of Our Salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want a feel-good book that tickles your ears and morphs you into a little Christian popinjay, this tome ain’t for you. You should put this book down and walk away from it immediately. However, if, young man, if … your motto is to give God your utmost for His highest, and you wanna live a life worthy of Christ’s death, then this book will be grist for your mill.
