Taylor Swift Marriage Bombshell

Taylor Swift is reportedly struggling with the amount of time she is spending away from husband Travis Kelce less than two months after the superstar couple tied the knot.

Swift and Kelce married in July during a highly publicized ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City before settling into several weeks of newlywed life together, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple reportedly spent their first weeks of marriage working out together, relaxing and taking short trips, including a visit to Laguna, California, for the wedding of one of Kelce’s friends.

That routine changed when Kelce returned to training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs in late July as he prepared for another NFL season.

“She is frustrated because football is taking up so much of his time,” a source told the Daily Mail, adding that Kelce has been working overtime and Swift wishes they could see each other more frequently.

The insider stressed that the separation does not indicate trouble between the newlyweds.

Swift and Kelce reportedly do not see each other every day, but the couple makes a point of spending time together every week despite their demanding schedules.

When they are apart, the two reportedly remain in frequent contact through phone calls, texts and FaceTime.

Kelce has also been sending Swift flowers while she travels, including some of her favorites, such as roses and orchids.

“They know they both have massive careers, and they love what they do, so they give each other freedom,” the source said.

Kelce, 36, has been staying at his Kansas City home as he prepares for what some observers believe could be his final season in the NFL.

Swift, also 36, has meanwhile continued traveling for her own professional commitments, moving between Los Angeles, New York and London.

The singer traveled to Los Angeles in August to promote her Eras Tour documentary, which received five Emmy nominations, according to the Daily Mail.

Her promotional appearances included a stop at the Grammy Museum, an Emmy For Your Consideration event and another industry gathering at sound designer John Ross’ home.

Swift could also attend the Emmy ceremony on Sept. 14, creating another potential conflict with her husband’s schedule.

Kelce and the Chiefs are scheduled to open their NFL season against the Denver Broncos in Kansas City that same night, meaning Swift could once again be without her husband if she attends the awards ceremony, per the Daily Mail.

Long stretches apart are hardly new for the couple.

After they began dating in 2023, Swift was traveling around the world for her Eras Tour while Kelce regularly traveled for Chiefs games.

Kelce joined Swift whenever his schedule permitted, including appearing onstage during one of her London concerts and traveling to Argentina and Australia during their relationship.

Marriage, however, has reportedly made the separation more difficult for Swift.

“It’s harder now that they are married because she wants more, for sure,” the source told the Daily Mail. “They have been married almost two months, but she has not seen him a ton.”

The singer reportedly misses the ordinary routines the two developed together, including their morning workouts and cooking at home.

The source described Swift as deeply in love with Kelce and said she enjoys having him nearby because he makes her feel both loved and protected.

Still, Swift reportedly understands why her husband is spending so much time away.

The insider said Swift knew Kelce would have to return to practice soon after their wedding and has deliberately avoided making him feel guilty about his demanding football schedule.

“She knew what she signed up for,” the source said, adding that Swift understood “the honeymoon would be short.”

Rather than pressuring Kelce to spend additional time with her, Swift reportedly wants to support his effort to perform at his highest level this season.

When the newlyweds do have time together, Swift reportedly cooks and bakes for her husband, while the couple also enjoys taking walks together.

Swift is expected to continue supporting Kelce throughout the coming NFL season, with the source saying the singer “loves being a WAG.”

The time apart has also allowed Swift to focus on her own projects.

According to the source, she has been working on new music and another future documentary while exchanging creative ideas with the Haim sisters.

Despite reportedly missing her husband, Swift has also used some of the post-wedding period to step away from the spotlight, with the source noting that she has gone months without posting on Instagram or making a major red-carpet appearance.

The Daily Mail report detailing the newlyweds’ post-honeymoon adjustment was published Aug. 30.
