Shocking Number of People Will Further Tarnish Infamous Dem’s Reputation Soon, Says Party Operative

A Democratic activist and attorney has publicly stated she is representing multiple women who intend to bring sexual harassment allegations against California Congressman Eric Swalwell.

The announcement arrives as Swalwell actively campaigns for governor of California, a race already packed with contenders.

Cheyenne Hunt, an attorney and the executive director of Gen-Z for Change, made the claims early Monday in a post on the social media platform X.

Hunt also previously ran for Congress in 2024.

Hunt stated that she became involved after being contacted by a close friend who is among the alleged victims. She wrote that after observing similarities across multiple accounts, she concluded she could not remain silent.

According to Hunt, the allegations involve direct messages on social media platforms including Snapchat. She described the alleged conduct as ranging from what she termed uncomfortable comments to behavior she characterized as potentially criminal.

Hunt alleged that Swalwell presented himself as a mentor to employees, interns, and fans as a means of exploiting a power dynamic. She stated the women involved have secured pro bono legal representation and are in the process of sharing their accounts with journalists.

Hunt wrote that the women are also taking steps to ensure their physical and legal safety before going public. “That process takes time,” she added.

Hunt posted a video to Instagram on March 31 in which she stated that Swalwell “has a known history of being predatory towards women.” She also said in the video that a message she received was not unique among accounts she had heard from women who work on Capitol Hill.

In the video, Hunt displayed a text message she said was sent to her by a woman who claimed: “You know Eric Swalwell has slept with many of his interns and makes them all sign NDAs [non-disclosure agreements] so they don’t speak up, right? And when I was 19 he tried hitting on me and sliding into my DMs.”

Hunt acknowledged in a subsequent post the legal risks she is taking by making public statements about a sitting member of Congress. She stated she is an attorney and is fully aware that making false statements about a public figure of Swalwell’s standing could expose her to a defamation lawsuit.

Hunt also wrote that she has not received any legal paperwork from Swalwell’s team, nor has she been served with a cease and desist order, despite stating that his team is aware of her claims.

Swalwell, a California Democrat who has held his House seat since 2013, announced his candidacy for California governor in November 2025 during an appearance on comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s television program. A poll released March 11 by Emerson College showed Swalwell leading the field of gubernatorial candidates with 17 percent support.

Hunt, who was 26 years old when she ran for Congress in California’s 45th District in 2024, finished fourth in the all-party primary with just over 8 percent of the vote. Had she won, she would have been the youngest woman ever elected to the House of Representatives.

In her posts, Hunt addressed the political dimension of the situation directly. “I do not believe in holding republicans to a different standard than we are willing to uphold ourselves,” she wrote. “No more predators in power, from either party, period.”

Hunt wrote that the truth serves as an absolute defense and indicated she believes Swalwell’s team understands that.

She acknowledged that speaking publicly on the matter makes her a liability but stated she chose to proceed regardless.
