Sen. Grassley Says Turning Point USA Was Included in Biden-Era FBI’s ‘Arctic Frost’ Investigation Amid Kirk Assassination Probe

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA (TPUSA), has reportedly been among 92 Republican-linked groups and individuals scrutinized under an FBI operation known as “Arctic Frost,” according to whistleblower testimony presented during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

The disclosures have intensified Republican concerns about potential partisan bias in federal law enforcement under the Biden administration, raising questions about how federal agencies prioritize politically sensitive investigations.

Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) questioned FBI Director Kash Patel about the agency’s handling of politically sensitive investigations, including the Kirk assassination.

Grassley cited whistleblower information indicating that TPUSA, alongside numerous other Republican entities, was placed under Arctic Frost’s investigative scope.

The senator argued that the operation reflected an improper use of federal authority to monitor politically aligned groups.

“Turning Point USA was explicitly listed,” Grassley said.

He described Arctic Frost as more than an inquiry into President Donald Trump, suggesting that certain FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors allegedly used it to pursue broader political objectives targeting Republican organizations and individuals nationwide.

Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson (R) joined Grassley in urging the public release of all records associated with the project.

He framed the disclosures as a warning of how federal investigative powers could be misapplied to achieve partisan aims while claiming legal oversight.

Johnson emphasized the importance of transparency so the public can assess the impartiality of federal law enforcement.

The Arctic Frost investigation reportedly extended to cases beyond Trump, including White House adviser Peter Navarro, according to The Post Millennial.

Grassley claimed that some agents viewed the expansion as an opportunity to target politically significant figures, which critics say raises questions about the objectivity of enforcement decisions and whether partisan motives influenced the handling of politically sensitive cases.

Earlier this year, Grassley and Johnson highlighted the potential misuse of federal investigations against high-profile Republicans, including Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence.

Reporting suggests the operation involved seizing government-issued devices and conducting nationwide interviews beginning in April 2022, with some investigators allegedly bypassing standard protocols to expand the probe.

These revelations come amid the ongoing investigation into Kirk’s assassination. Kirk, 31, was fatally shot during a public event at Utah Valley University last week.

Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged as the primary suspect, but authorities are also investigating whether others had prior knowledge of the attack.

Resist the Mainstream reported earlier that the Salt Lake City-based group, Armed Queers, reportedly drew scrutiny and deleted its social media accounts immediately following Kirk’s death.

During the hearing, Patel defended the FBI’s broader operations, asserting the agency’s commitment to impartial law enforcement while addressing questions of potential political bias.

Republican senators, however, maintained that the whistleblower documents underscore a need for accountability, oversight and a review of how investigative authority is exercised in politically charged cases.

Grassley and Johnson emphasized transparency regarding Arctic Frost as critical for public trust.

They argued that the inclusion of high-profile Republican entities demonstrates the tension between national security interests and civil liberties in politically sensitive investigations.

Conservatives have pointed to these revelations as evidence that federal agencies may have overstepped bounds under the Biden administration.

While the Kirk investigation and related Arctic Frost disclosures continue, conservative observers interpret the revelations as indicative of possible federal overreach.

The case has renewed calls for accountability, careful oversight and clear boundaries to prevent the politicization of federal law enforcement, ensuring that investigations focus on crimes rather than political affiliations.
