A bombshell audio recording released Wednesday has exposed a heated confrontation between Truemed founder Calley Means and The Wellness Company CEO Peter Gillooly, revealing deep divisions inside the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) movement.
The leaked call captures Means threatening legal action and leveraging his influence as a top adviser to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Calley Means, once a Big Food and Big Pharma lobbyist, has reinvented himself as a wellness advocate and emerged as a key figure in the MAHA agenda.
His alignment with Kennedy has elevated his profile but also created sharp controversy among supporters and critics alike.
Means’ evolution has been particularly notable given his past as a vocal Never Trump critic.
His new role has drawn increased scrutiny, especially following the nomination of his sister, Casey Means, as U.S. Surgeon General by President Donald Trump.
Casey Means’ nomination has been divisive, per reports.
During the recorded call, Calley Means accused Gillooly of leaking damaging information to conservative commentator Laura Loomer.
Means charged Gillooly with distributing an “oppo document” that he described as “factually and provably untrue.”
“I have documented proof… The problem is a couple: first, the information that you’re sharing in your oppo-document is factually and provably untrue,” Means said on the recording, outlined by Rift News.
Means escalated the threat, warning, “If that little post isn’t taken down, and if any other things happen that I know you’re facilitating, I’m going to sue the shit out of you!”
He also threatened to involve high-profile allies.
“If one more thing happens, I’m going to go to [National Institutes of Health Director] Jay Bhattacharya and Bobby to tell then that you and your cadre of Peter McCullough and Kelly Victory are spreading lies and trying to fuck with him and hurt his administration,” Means said.
The references to Kennedy—referred to as “Bobby”—and Bhattacharya signaled Means’ intent to use his federal position in defense of his company.
Gillooly has since filed an ethics complaint over the matter, accusing Means of abusing his government role.
Rift News noted that as Kennedy’s close adviser, Means has been a driving force behind MAHA’s push to overhaul health policy and challenge mainstream medical institutions.
His simultaneous role as Truemed co-founder has sparked conflict-of-interest allegations, intensified by his sister’s nomination.
The outlet further noted that Trump defended the choice, saying, “Bobby thought she was fantastic,” though the appointment has deepened rifts within the coalition.
Some MAHA supporters accuse the Means siblings of being “controlled opposition” intended to weaken Kennedy’s agenda.
During the call, Gillooly appeared perplexed by Means’ accusations.
“I’m totally lost. Can you start over from the beginning?” he asked.
Later, he added, “I’m a little confused about why you’re [calling].”
Means rejected Gillooly’s denials, maintaining he had evidence and urging Gillooly to speak directly with The Wellness Company founder Foster Coulson.
Means refused to negotiate further.

The dispute stems from Loomer’s claims of tax fraud against Truemed, which offers doctor’s letters for tax-free wellness purchases.
Means alleges the Wellness Company is the source of the accusations.
The company, which sells supplements and includes prominent anti-vaccine advocates on its board, has not publicly responded to that charge.
Gillooly’s ethics complaint comes as Kennedy has already dismissed more than a quarter of HHS staff in his effort to reshape the department, per Rift News.
