The controversial leftist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, also known as “HasanAbi,” is facing a surge in backlash over allegations that he shocked his dog while recording a stream.
A multitude of comments on X are accusing the radical leftist streamer of shocking his dog with a training collar shortly after it got up to stretch.
During an Oct. 7 stream, Piker began complaining about his internet service.
“I f*cking hate this county so much” he said, as he was suffering internet troubles.
In just a couple of short moments, Piker’s dog, Kaya, appeared to let out a high-pitched cry, which prompted the streamer to yell angrily.
In an expletive-filled burst of anger, Piker told his dog to stop.
“Kaya, please just f*cking go,” he said. “You’re being such a baby.”
It was shortly after this moment that Piker allegedly shocked Kaya, unleashing a whirlwind of controversy on social media.
Piker has dismissed such allegations, claiming that Kaya is the “most spoiled” dog ever.
He then went on to state that the criticism he faces is likely coming from “crazy haters.”
“They’re claiming that the most well-trained, and the most spoiled, best kept dog on the planet is actually being abused by me, apparently, because I gave her the place command while she was getting off, and then she yelped … I suspect it’s coming from some crazy haters,” he said.
Several users on X are describing Piker’s behavior as “soulless.”
“Hassan Piker is a soulless demon who shocks his puppy live on camera. What do you think he’d do to you if his team ever won power? The same thing communists have done to their enemies every single time,” one user said.
The leftist Twitch streamer was also called a “sociopath” over his alleged actions.
“You can tell just by looking at his eyes and smile that Hasan is a textbook sociopath,” End Wokeness wrote.
As Trending Politics pointed out, Twitch has not taken any disciplinary action following the disturbing footage.
Piker, who is the nephew of The Young Turks co-founder Cenk Uygur, has often found himself in the spotlight, primarily due to his controversial political statements.
Following the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, Piker called on liberals to “gut” conservatives, as Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
“I’m sick and tired of it. Left-wingers, liberals, you need to be f*cking showing your opponents guts on there. You need to be gutting them,” Piker said.
Such comments went viral on social media, garnering the attention of Tech mogul Elon Musk.
Musk called Piker’s remarks an “incitement to murder.”
Once again, the popular liberal streamer finds himself in the negative spotlight as backlash over his alleged actions increases.
Piker began his career at The Young Turks shortly after graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in political science, where he hosted a show called The Breakdown.
Piker eventually transitioned to Twitch in 2018 and successfully launched one of the most-watched political commentary channels. He currently has over 2.9 million followers on the platform.
