MTG Teases Allies About Staggering Upcoming Move: Report

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has begun privately signaling to her inner circle that she intends to pursue the presidency in 2028, according to multiple sources close to the Georgia lawmaker.

The Republican representative has been confiding in congressional colleagues about her White House ambitions, four sources familiar with the discussions confirmed to NOTUS.

These conversations have reportedly intensified in recent weeks as Greene positions herself for what would be a dramatic leap onto the national political stage.

Greene has expressed confidence that she represents “real MAGA and that the others have strayed” from former President Trump’s authentic vision, according to one source.

This positioning suggests Greene views herself as the rightful heir to Trump’s political movement, distinguishing her approach from other potential Republican contenders.

Financial backing appears central to Greene’s strategic thinking.

The congresswoman believes she has assembled the necessary fundraising infrastructure to mount a viable campaign, sources revealed

Greene reportedly thinks she possesses “the national donor network to win the primary,” indicating confidence in her ability to compete financially with better-funded establishment candidates.

When contacted by the Daily Mail for comment, Greene did not dismiss the presidential speculation outright.

“Last week, it was rumored that I was planning to run for Governor of Georgia. This week it’s rumored I am running for President. I’m committed to one thing: serving the best district in the Nation, Georgia’s 14th,” she stated.

The 51-year-old mother of three has built a reputation as a fierce conservative voice willing to challenge political opponents aggressively. Recently, however, Greene has created distance between herself and Republican Party leadership through repeated public criticism.

Greene’s recent public presence suggests a calculated shift in messaging and positioning.

Observers tracking her social media activity and television appearances have noted what appears to be a more centrist approach, though longtime followers of the congresswoman question whether this represents a genuine ideological evolution.

The Daily Mail reported that on Wednesday, Greene publicly criticized GOP leadership for failing to address “Americans suffering from high cost of living, rising food and energy prices.”

In the same statement, she accused party leaders of “leaving them out to dry with no plan on our skyrocketing health insurance premiums.”

Greene’s media strategy has also evolved significantly. Previously confined to far-leaning outlets like One America News and Real America’s Voice—where her boyfriend Brian Glenn works—the congresswoman has expanded her reach to mainstream and left-leaning platforms.

This week marked a significant moment when Greene appeared on ABC’s “The View,” a daytime program known for its liberal perspective and frequent criticism of Republicans and Trump.

The appearance proceeded relatively smoothly despite some tension, Resist the Mainstream reported.

During the ABC appearance, Greene faced questioning about her “space lasers” comments but managed to navigate the exchange diplomatically.

She acknowledged being misled by online content and drew parallels to similar experiences across the political spectrum—a response that resonated with the show’s hosts.

Greene voiced frustration with the current government shutdown situation, criticizing what she described as male lawmakers engaging in counterproductive behavior while important legislative matters remain unresolved.

Greene also recently sat down with Bill Maher on “Real Time,” where she received a comparably friendly reception.
