MTG Joins Dems in Huge MAGA Betrayal

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), known for her staunch conservatism and defense of President Donald Tump, appears to be changing her ways.

The Georgia congresswoman, who once strongly advocated for the deportation of illegal immigrant workers in the U.S., appears to support it now.

During an appearance on the “Home of the Brave” podcast, Greene said that as a “realist,” there needs to be a better comprehensive plan to deal with foreign workers instead of just “rounding up” and deporting them.

“As a conservative and as a business owner in the construction industry and as a realist, I can say, we have to do something about labor and that needs to be a smarter plan than just rounding up every single person and deporting them just like that,” Greene said.

Conservative commentator Laura Loomer was quick to share the footage of Greene’s remarks, accusing her of flip-flopping on the issue because she “got a check.”

“Looks like @RepMTG got a check. She just went on a podcast and said she doesn’t think illegal alien workers should be deported. We need to put AMERICAN workers first. We don’t need to be coddling and protecting big corporations that evade the law to hire cheap illegal aliens,” Loomer said.

Greene’s controversial remarks, which largely oppose those of the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) base, came months after the conservative firebrand argued that illegal immigrants must “first and foremost” be deported.

As one could imagine, Greene’s latest comments were met with fiery criticism from the MAGA base.

“Hmm…she changed her mind quickly on this. I guess that insider trading isn’t working out so cheap labor is needed to roll trusses,” one X user said.

“Yeah she got a check or got checked either way they got to her. Well seems like she will have a RINO costume this Halloween,” another wrote.

The Georgia Republican’s remarks come days after she appeared on CNN and blamed Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for the ongoing government shutdown, as previously reported by Resist the Mainstream.

“I’ve been vocal saying, you know, you can use the nuclear option in the Senate,” she said. “This doesn’t have to be a shutdown, but what we have to do is we have to work for the American people. And our country is so divided right now. We see it all the time in every single way. It’s divided in what I would say very dangerous ways.”

That wasn’t all, however.

Not only did Greene blame her fellow Republicans for the shutdown, but she also supported specific Democratic demands related to the shutdown, which would entail a major blow to the Trump policy agenda and MAGA base.

As part of ongoing negotiations, Greene endorsed the Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums, which are set to expire.
