Two of conservative media’s most combative personalities found themselves at the center of a jaw-dropping clash this week, with a stunning accusation of murderous intent followed by an equally stunning olive branch.
Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News star turned independent podcast host, leveled one of the most serious charges one media figure has ever made against another during a Thursday broadcast of The Megyn Kelly Show.
Her target was Mark Levin, the veteran Fox News anchor and radio host who has traded bitter insults with Kelly for years.
Kelly did not mince words. She told her audience she genuinely believes Levin wants her dead.
Her remarks came during a conversation with Ana Kasparian, a co-host of The Young Turks, who was a guest on the program that day.
“I actually believe that Mark Levin would like to have me killed. I do believe it. I think he’d be thrilled to see me taken out, like, actually,” Kelly said directly to Kasparian during the broadcast.
Kelly then addressed what she described as a stark difference between her own conduct and Levin’s. “That’s so f*cking crazy to me, Ana. There’s no one, no one politically who I would ever wish that upon, ever,” she said.
She went further, making clear she views her standards of public discourse as categorically different from his. “There’s no one whose death I would celebrate. There’s no one whom I would intentionally endanger with really crazy ass rhetoric,” Kelly stated.
The accusation did not emerge from thin air. The two have waged a years-long public war against each other, with Kelly branding Levin “Micropenis Mark” while Levin repeatedly labeled Kelly a “Woke Reich psycho,” a “vile, mentally unhinged creep,” and “a degenerate bigot.”
The conflict accelerated when President Donald Trump moved militarily against Iran. Kelly placed partial blame for that decision squarely on Levin, accusing him of pushing the president toward war.
Kelly also named former Fox colleague Tucker Carlson as another target of what she described as Levin’s dangerous rhetoric.
She accused Levin of knowingly putting both of them at physical risk. “He knows what he says about Tucker, about me, about many others is actually endangering,” Kelly said.
Kelly described what she called a pattern of extreme and reckless labeling by Levin. “To over and over call somebody a neo-Nazi, to suggest that they want Jews killed because they say things like, ‘young people no longer support Israel.’ It’s so irresponsible. It’s lunacy,” she said.
Levin’s response defied expectations. Rather than escalating further, he took to X and addressed Kelly directly with a message that stunned observers of the long-running feud.
He denied ever wishing Kelly harm. “Megyn, can we at least agree that I absolutely do not want, and would never want, any harm to come to you,” Levin wrote. “And I have never said otherwise and would never say otherwise.”
He closed with a call to stand down. “I suggest we turn down the heat,” Levin added.
Separately on Thursday, President Trump posted a lengthy rebuke on Truth Social aimed at Kelly, Carlson, and other MAGA-aligned voices who have publicly broken with him.
Levin amplified the president’s post on X, attaching a single comment of his own: “BOOM!!!!!!!!”
