Letitia James, an OnlyFans Twist and More Family Absurdities Exposed

New York Attorney General Letitia James is providing housing to multiple family members with criminal backgrounds at properties she owns in Virginia, according to documents obtained by the New York Post.

The revelations come as James faces serious federal charges related to the same properties.

James’ grand-niece Cayla Thompson-Hairston, 21, faces legal troubles of her own.

Court documents show Thompson-Hairston was charged in April 2024 with lying about her felony criminal record when attempting to purchase a firearm in Suffolk, Virginia.

The charge stems from allegations that she provided false information on gun purchase paperwork.

Thompson-Hairston was legally prohibited from owning a firearm following an August 2020 felony charge of malicious wounding.

Under Virginia law, malicious wounding occurs when a person “shoots, stabs, cuts or wounds any other person, or by any means causes bodily injury, with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill.”

The statute represents one of the more serious violent crime charges in Virginia’s criminal code.

Thompson-Hairston was a juvenile when the malicious wounding charge occurred, and those case records remain sealed under laws protecting minors.

Prosecutors later dropped the weapons charges after discovering Thompson-Hairston’s malicious wounding charge had been reduced to a misdemeanor through a plea agreement.

The reduction in charges meant she was no longer legally disqualified from firearm ownership.

Thompson-Hairston maintains an active presence on OnlyFans and social media platforms where she shares explicit content.

Her social media profiles feature explicit content and images displaying cash with a boyfriend.

She recently shared news of her pregnancy and has posted videos showing her pregnant form.

The public nature of her online presence stands in stark contrast to the sealed juvenile records from her criminal case.

The Post reported that in 2019, when Thompson-Hairston was 15 years old, she became involved in criminal activity with her older sister, Nakia Thompson, 36.

Thompson currently has outstanding warrants in North Carolina and maintains a lengthy arrest record, according to documents.

The fugitive status means Thompson is actively avoiding law enforcement in that state, the Post has explained.

Both Thompson-Hairston and Nakia Thompson reside in houses owned by James in Norfolk, Virginia.

These properties have become the subject of federal criminal investigation regarding mortgage documentation bearing James’ signature.

The federal scrutiny has intensified as prosecutors examine whether James made material misrepresentations on loan applications.

James currently faces 60 years in prison on bank fraud and false statement charges.

Federal prosecutors allege she provided false information on the mortgage application for the house where Nakia Thompson resides.

The potential sentence represents a significant portion of James’ remaining life.

James purchased the property in 2020 for $137,000 and declared it a “second home” that she would primarily occupy, according to the allegations.

Federal authorities contend James moved Thompson into the property and collected rent shortly after the purchase, contradicting her statements on the mortgage application.

Prosecutors claim this alleged misrepresentation enabled James to secure a more favorable mortgage rate, resulting in a $19,000 financial advantage.

The classification of a property as a second home versus an investment property can significantly impact interest rates and loan terms.

James has maintained her innocence throughout the investigation, while Thompson testified before a federal grand jury that she lived at the residence without paying rent.
