Vice President JD Vance will join Erika Kirk at the University of Mississippi on Oct. 29 for what organizers expect to be one of the largest campus events of the fall season.
The announcement was made during Wednesday’s edition of the Charlie Kirk Show, where Vance appeared as a guest.
Charlie Kirk Show executive producer Andrew Kolvet revealed the news during the broadcast.
Vance will be appearing alongside Erika Kirk as part of the organization’s ongoing campus tour at Ole Miss.
The Oct. 29 event marks a significant moment for the conservative movement.
Kolvet emphasized the special nature of this particular stop on the tour during his announcement on the show.
Erika Kirk’s appearance at Ole Miss will be her only public event on the entire campus tour.
Kolvet explained that organizers considered asking her to participate in additional stops but ultimately decided against it.
The decision to limit her appearances stems from the need to allow Erika Kirk time to process recent events. However, she specifically requested to be present at the Ole Miss gathering, making it a personal priority.
Vance also made the Ole Miss event a priority in his schedule.
The mutual commitment from both speakers signals the importance of this particular campus engagement to the broader conservative movement.
Event organizers anticipate a massive turnout for the rally at the university campus.
Kolvet stated that between nine thousand and ten thousand people are expected to attend the Ole Miss stop, The Post Millennial (TPM) highlighted.
The anticipated crowd size would make this one of the larger political gatherings on a college campus this year.
Organizers have been working to accommodate the expected attendance numbers.
Erika Kirk recently assumed leadership of Turning Point USA following the September assassination of her husband, founder Charlie Kirk.
She was named board chair and CEO of the conservative organization in the aftermath of the tragedy, Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
Her new role places her at the helm of one of the nation’s most prominent conservative youth organizations.
The transition came during an extraordinarily difficult period for both the organization and the Kirk family.

On Wednesday, Erika Kirk visited the White House for a solemn ceremony.
She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom on behalf of her late husband, accepting the nation’s highest civilian honor posthumously.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States.
The posthumous award acknowledges Charlie Kirk’s impact on American conservative activism.
The Oct. 29 event comes just weeks after Vance delivered remarks at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in late September.
He addressed a large crowd gathered in Arizona to honor the conservative activist.
The memorial service drew thousands of supporters and prominent conservative figures.
It represented a moment of unity for the movement during a time of grief and uncertainty.
TPM further noted that during his memorial address, Vance spoke directly about the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s death.
“He was taken from us by those who despise the virtues that actually made our civilization great to begin with. Dialogue, truth-seeking, family, and faith,” Vance told the assembled mourners.
The veep also addressed the public response to the assassination.
“In the wake of his death, we have seen some of the very worst parts of humanity. We have watched people slander him. We have watched people justify his murder and celebrate his death. I know that this makes you angry just as it has made me angry. But it is easy in these moments to see only the worst of our fellow man,” he said.
