Hasan Piker sparked outrage after calling on leftists to “gut” conservatives just one day after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The left-wing Twitch streamer made the shocking remarks during a broadcast, captured in a clip now circulating on X. The video shows Piker explicitly telling his viewers, “You need to gut them.”
The comments came less than twenty-four hours after Kirk was murdered while speaking at Utah Valley University. Piker’s words have ignited fury among conservatives who see his language as incitement.
“They want us all dead. They aren’t being quiet about it anymore. Believe them when they say who they are. Do not let up, do not let these evil demons, these vile monsters keep you from speaking up. They cannot win. Do not let them win,” Matt Van Swol said.
Piker, known online as “HasanAbi,” has a long history of controversial statements. He previously came under fire for mocking U.S. soldiers and cheering attacks on political opponents.
This time, critics say he crossed a line. The timing of his remarks, so soon after Kirk’s death, drew accusations that Piker was endorsing violence against conservatives at large.
Charlie Kirk’s allies condemned the statement as proof of what the conservative movement is facing.
“This is a severe, overt call to violence. This is the type of s*it that radicalized people like the Utah shooter. You can’t find any right wing content like this whatsoever,” Mike Crispi said on X.
Piker’s audience, which often includes younger progressive activists, heard him use language that many consider beyond the pale. “Gut them” was widely interpreted as a call for physical violence.
The phrase immediately trended across X as conservatives demanded accountability. Calls for Twitch to take action against Piker grew louder throughout the day.
Tech mogul Elon Musk reacted to Hasan Piker’s comments, calling them an “incitement to murder.”
Piker has not walked back the statement. He has not issued an apology or clarification. Instead, the clip continues to spread across social media platforms, fueling backlash.
Commentators warned that such rhetoric creates an environment where more violence becomes inevitable. They pointed to Kirk’s assassination as proof of where radical language can lead.
Political observers also noted the double standard. If a conservative influencer had told supporters to “gut” liberals, they argued, corporate media would have called it terrorism.
The debate now shifts to whether Piker will face consequences from Twitch or other platforms that host his content. Many on the right insist he should be banned for encouraging violence.
In the wake of Kirk’s murder, conservatives are demanding a stronger stand against leftist extremism. The words of Hasan Piker, caught on video, are now at the center of that fight.
