Epstein Probe Takes Sharp Turn After Private Testimony Reveals Three New Names: Report

Three previously unreported names tied to Jeffrey Epstein surfaced during closed-door testimony on Capitol Hill this last week, according to sources familiar with the House Oversight Committee’s ongoing review of evidence related to the late financier’s network.

The allegations, which have not been tested in court or supported by criminal charges, were raised during a private interview that has since drawn heightened attention among lawmakers and investigators.

The testimony, delivered by Sarah Kellen during a confidential session, reportedly included claims linking three individuals—hair stylist Frederic Fekkai, former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, and fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, who is deceased—to Epstein’s broader circle.

The names were first reported by journalist Tara Palmeri in her newsletter “The Red Letter,” which cited sources familiar with the discussion.

The emergence of the names has drawn renewed attention following reporting on the testimony, though no official findings or charges have been announced against any of the individuals mentioned.

Online discussion intensified after details of the closed-door interview surfaced, prompting renewed attention to how previously unverified claims from Epstein-related testimony are handled during congressional review.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) confirmed the interview took place and described it as one of the most detailed sessions conducted so far in the committee’s ongoing investigation.

He also noted that the individuals named had not previously appeared in materials reviewed by lawmakers.

“She was very brave coming forward. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her to go into detail about the abuse that she endured at the hands of Epstein and (Ghislaine) Maxwell,” Comer said.

Fekkai, a prominent figure in the hair and fashion industry, has previously been referenced in connection with Epstein-related materials and has acknowledged traveling on Epstein’s private aircraft.

Through an attorney, he strongly denied any wrongdoing and rejected allegations of involvement in illegal activity.

His representative said Fekkai was unaware of Epstein’s criminal conduct and “never abused anyone” or participated in any illicit behavior, NewsNation reported.

Levine has also publicly addressed his limited association with Epstein in prior statements, saying his contact stemmed from a social connection with Ghislaine Maxwell and that he met Epstein only a few times.

He has denied conducting business with Epstein, visiting his private island, or flying on his aircraft, adding that he regretted ever meeting him.

Demarchelier, a well-known fashion photographer who has since died, was previously accused of sexual misconduct in a 2018 Boston Globe report, allegations he denied during his lifetime.

No criminal charges were filed against him in relation to Epstein or the broader trafficking investigation.

Kellen, who has been described in court documents as a close associate of Epstein, has been portrayed in prior filings as both a participant in his operation and a victim of coercion.

She has said in interviews that she hopes her testimony encourages other survivors to come forward.

“I have no doubt there are countless women currently trapped in similar situations that could be helped by hearing my story,” she said in remarks to MS NOW.

During questioning, committee members also said Kellen addressed Epstein’s wider network, including political figures, stating she had no knowledge regarding President Donald Trump.

Lawmakers added that previous survivor interviews had not yielded new names until this session and that investigators continue to review materials provided by the Department of Justice.

Officials emphasized that inclusion of names in testimony or investigative files does not establish wrongdoing.

Epstein-related civil records and investigative materials have historically contained numerous references to individuals across social, professional, and business circles, many of whom were later determined to have had only limited or indirect contact.

Only Maxwell has been convicted in connection with Epstein’s trafficking operation.

A transcript of the closed-door testimony is expected to be released after internal review and redaction procedures are completed.

No charges have been announced in connection with the individuals named, and lawmakers say the investigation remains ongoing as additional documents continue to be examined.
