Deadly ICE Attack Shocks All

Newly released video footage is dramatically shifting the narrative surrounding the fatal ICE shooting in Minneapolis, as a fresh point-of-view clip appears to show an agent acting in clear self-defense during a chaotic confrontation.

The footage, released Friday by Alpha News, is described as a previously unseen angle captured from the perspective of the ICE agent involved in the Jan. 7 shooting in south Minneapolis.

The video shows the agent standing directly in front of a vehicle moments before it accelerates toward him.

Audio in the clip captures the engine revving loudly as the car surges forward with the agent positioned squarely in its path. Seconds later, gunshots are heard as the agent discharges his firearm.

The shooting resulted in the death of Renée Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident and U.S. citizen.

Good, a mother of three, was killed during a federal immigration enforcement operation that quickly spiraled into a deadly encounter.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the incident unfolded after Good allegedly used her vehicle in a manner that endangered multiple ICE agents on the scene.

Federal officials say the agent fired only after the vehicle accelerated toward him, leaving him with no clear avenue of escape.

DHS officials have repeatedly stated that the shooting was justified and fully consistent with federal use-of-force policy, per Trending Politics.

The newly released footage appears to reinforce that claim, contradicting early narratives that suggested the agent fired without an imminent threat.

Initial video clips circulating online in the hours after the shooting fueled intense backlash from activists and Democratic officials.

Critics argued the footage did not clearly show the agent facing immediate danger at the moment shots were fired.

Those claims are now under renewed scrutiny as additional angles emerge.

The latest clip shows the vehicle moving directly toward the agent, placing him in what appears to be a split-second life-or-death situation.

The ICE agent involved has not been officially identified by authorities, though multiple reports have named him as Jonathan Ross, a veteran officer with years of experience. Officials have declined to confirm his identity, citing safety concerns.

The case has drawn additional attention due to Ross’s prior history in the field. In 2025, the same agent was seriously injured after being dragged by a vehicle during an enforcement action involving an illegal migrant.

DHS officials have cited that prior incident as relevant context, noting the agent’s heightened awareness of vehicular threats. Critics argue that past encounters should not influence the legal assessment of the shooting.

The incident sparked immediate protests across Minneapolis, with demonstrators demanding outside investigations and criminal charges.

City leaders, including Mayor Jacob Frey (D), called for additional oversight beyond internal DHS reviews.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) echoed those calls, urging federal authorities to ensure transparency and accountability as investigations proceed.

The FBI and other agencies are now involved in reviewing the shooting. As of Thursday, no charges have been filed against the ICE agent.
