Chuck Schumer boasts that DNC is ‘most unified’ ever, as massive chaos breaks outside Kamala’s DNC

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has praised this year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) as the most unified in history, despite significant unrest both inside and outside the event. Schumer told the New York Daily News on Tuesday, “I’ve not found a convention more focused, excited, and more unified. Everyone is coming together from the most liberal to the most moderate.”

Meanwhile, Chicago has seen an influx of approximately 100,000 pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel protesters this week, making their voices heard regarding the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Some demonstrations have turned violent, with agitators breaching security barriers outside the DNC.

On Monday, protesters managed to tear down a portion of the fencing surrounding the convention and clashed with police. At least 13 people were arrested during these confrontations. Additionally, bomb threats targeting four nearby hotels were reported, adding to the tension.

Inside the convention on Tuesday, events were disrupted when women began shouting, “Stop killing women in Gaza,” further highlighting the divide between the party’s official proceedings and the sentiments expressed by demonstrators.

Protesters have been ordered to disperse, and some political figures are reportedly booking hotels under false names to avoid being targeted. The DNC is scheduled to continue through Thursday, with more protests expected in the coming days.
