Border Patrol agents involved in a shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday, Jan. 24, that Border Patrol agents were involved in another shooting in Minneapolis, after a man pulled out a gun on them.

“Just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning,” Walz wrote on X. “Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation and pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”

City officials said the shooting involving federal agents occurred near West 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue.

“We are working to confirm additional details,” the city said in a social media post, urging the public to remain calm and avoid the area as the investigation continues.

Authorities have not yet released information about who was shot, their condition, or which federal agency was involved.
