In a shocking shake-up that has sent shockwaves across the country, President Donald Trump has ousted Sergio Gor, the man responsible for sabotaging the president’s relationship with tech mogul Elon Musk, from the Office of Presidential Personnel.
Gor’s responsibility involved hiring and firing individuals within the Trump administration.
Longtime Trump ally Dan Scavino will take Over Gor’s role.
Gor will now have a new job: ambassador to India.
“I am pleased to announce that the great Dan Scavino, in addition to remaining Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, will head the White House Presidential Personnel Office, replacing Sergio Gor who did a wonderful job in that position, and will now become the Ambassador to India,” Trump said on Truth Social.
“Dan will be responsible for the selection and appointment of almost all positions in government, a very big and important position. Congratulations Dan, you will do a fantastic job!!!” he added.

While serving as director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, Gor clashed with Musk after the Tesla CEO nominated Jared Isaacman for chief of NASA.
Gor is said to have imploded when hearing of Isaccman’s nomination.
Given his position at the time, Gor was a major factor in the Trump administration striking down Isaccman, who donated to Democrats in the previous election cycle.
Needless to say, this move angered Musk and eventually led to his departure from the administration, where he served as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
In June, Musk issued a blistering critique of Gor in response to a New York Post article about the Trump official.
“He’s a snake,” Musk said, referring to Gor.
According to the Daily Mail, Gor reportedly ran around the White House happily showing everyone when Tesla’s stock began crashing.
What’s interesting about Gor’s latest removal is the timing.
Musk was seen shaking hands with Trump at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in Phoenix, Arizona, prompting many to believe that perhaps the Tesla CEO will rejoin the president in a specific capacity at the White House.
Isaacman has recently met with the president to revive discussions about his nomination to lead NASA, per the Daily Mail.
Trump announced on Sept. 8 that Gor would serve as the ambassador to India. He was confirmed in the position on Oct. 7.
Scavino will now be in charge of hiring and firing across the administration. He has been a very close ally to the president, even when Trump wasn’t president.
The announcement that Scavino would take over Gor’s old role was met with praise from those in the conservative movement.
“@DanScavino doesn’t just manage comms, he engineers moments. From memes to message discipline, nobody understands the digital battlefield better. Trump surrounding himself with heavy hitters like Dan is how you win the information war and the White House,” Crushing Woke Culture said on X.
“The house cleaning has commenced amidst the shutdown! Full throttle MAGA Patriots in every position possible!” Bridgett Fertig wrote.
