Turning Point USA celebrated a major victory Sunday night with nearly 20 million views of their All-American Halftime Show, a YouTube alternative to the Super Bowl’s halftime performance.
The show, announced in October, drew significant attention from conservative audiences seeking traditional American entertainment.
TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet spoke with Fox News on Sunday evening about the successful event. He expressed enthusiasm about future possibilities, stating the organization is prepared to expand the effort with more planning time.
However, Fox News’ Lisa Kennedy Montgomery has reported that sources indicate the organization faces serious internal challenges that threaten its stability.
Multiple individuals with knowledge of TPUSA operations report the presence of moles within the organization allegedly working to undermine it from within, according to Kennedy.
The organization has responded to these concerns with personnel changes. An insider disputed online claims about the scale of terminations when speaking to Kennedy, clarifying that approximately three to four employees were dismissed rather than the rumored 30 to 40.
Aubrey Laitsch, a former public relations employee, was among those recently terminated.
She released a nearly 13-minute video on X last week addressing her departure from the organization. In her video, Laitsch disputed the official explanation for her termination.
She claimed the stated reason involved allegations of speaking negatively about supervisors to an Uber driver, which she denies.
Laitsch offered an alternative explanation for her dismissal. “I have a gut feeling that I was terminated from Turning Point because I am questioning the narrative of what happened to my role model and CEO, Charlie Kirk, on the day of his assassination,” she stated.
Commentator Candace Owens amplified Laitsch’s claims approximately 30 minutes after the video was posted. Owens shared the content with her followers, describing it as testimony from one of the fired employees about the organization’s new direction.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September. Following his death, his widow Erika was voted in as CEO to lead the organization through the transition period.
Owens has promoted theories suggesting various parties, including TPUSA employees, Israel, and France, conspired in Kirk’s death. It’s worth noting that these claims have not been substantiated by law enforcement or credible evidence.
A meeting between Erika Kirk and Owens took place in mid-December, lasting approximately four hours. Reports suggest the meeting was initially productive, though tensions resumed afterward.
Owens later shared a leaked video showing Erika Kirk conducting a Zoom meeting with TPUSA staff following her husband’s murder, Resist the Mainstream previously reported. In the video, Erika Kirk referred to her husband’s public funeral as “the event of the century,” which Owens characterized as evidence of inappropriate behavior.
The source of the leaked Zoom recording remains under scrutiny. A TPUSA insider confirmed the leaks have been verified and suggested the material was shared with Owens following the recent employee terminations, said Kennedy in a exclusive for the Daily Mail with the title that begins with “Bombshell secret that could DESTROY Turning Point USA.”
Kennedy further noted that this was not the first internal communication to reach Owens.
Days after Kirk’s assassination, a WhatsApp conversation showing Kirk expressing frustration about donors threatening to withdraw a $2 million contribution over his Israel-Gaza war remarks became public.
The conversation occurred days before his death and was reportedly provided to the Justice Department as part of the investigation.
A close associate of Kirk’s believes someone in a senior position within TPUSA provided materials to Owens, per Kennedy. The associate also suggested that Groyper ideology has gained influence within portions of the organization in recent years.
In other news, Erika Kirk did not appear at Sunday night’s Super Bowl alternative show. The reason for her absence has not been publicly explained.
