‘Biden border crisis’ Texas DPS rescues 5-year-old girl from being trafficked by smugglers — Video

The ongoing border crisis under the Biden-Harris administration has brought to light the heartbreaking realities faced by innocent children caught in the crossfire.

Among the most recent examples, a 5-year-old girl was rescued by Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers after being smuggled into the United States from Mexico.

The incident unfolded when DPS stopped a Ram 1500 truck in Val Verde County during a routine traffic check. Inside the vehicle, officers found the young girl, confirming she was the same child captured on surveillance cameras earlier that day.

Footage from border surveillance cameras, later shared by Fox News, showed a smuggler carrying the girl across the Rio Grande near Del Rio, Texas.

Authorities revealed that the girl’s mother, who resides in North Carolina, had paid $8,000 to smugglers she connected with online to bring her daughter into the United States.

During the traffic stop, the mother was discovered with a different smuggler, highlighting the intricate and dangerous networks involved in human smuggling operations.

Tragically, stories like this are not isolated. In another recent case, Texas DPS officers found a 10-year-old boy from El Salvador abandoned by smugglers on the U.S. side of the border.

The boy, visibly distressed, carried only a phone and struggled to explain his circumstances when questioned by authorities.

Footage shared by Lt. Chris Olivarez of the Texas DPS underscored the heartbreaking situation many children face as they are smuggled across the border.

While families across the nation celebrated Thanksgiving, these children were left vulnerable, abandoned, and far from the safety of their loved ones.

“Many children will not get to enjoy the holidays or see their families because they have been placed in a dire situation,” Olivarez noted in a tweet accompanying the video of the 10-year-old’s rescue.

Critics of the Biden-Harris administration have pointed to its border policies as a root cause of the escalating crisis. Many argue the administration has failed to uphold Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees protection for states against invasions and domestic threats.

The administration’s perceived lack of enforcement has, according to critics, fueled dangerous conditions at the border, emboldening smuggling networks and increasing risks for those attempting to cross illegally.

Vulnerable children often pay the steepest price, subjected to harrowing journeys and uncertain futures.

Former President Donald Trump has pledged to address the border crisis upon taking office in January 2025. Trump’s campaign promises include sealing the border and implementing stricter immigration enforcement to curb smuggling operations and ensure the safety of the nation’s borders.

The plight of children like the 5-year-old girl rescued by DPS serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for solutions. As the nation grapples with the humanitarian and legal dimensions of the border crisis, the safety and welfare of the most innocent victims remain at the forefront of public concern.
