Bad Bunny Gets Horrible Super Bowl News

A new poll shows a majority of Florida Republicans plan to skip the Super Bowl halftime show headlined by rapper Bad Bunny, highlighting a sharp partisan divide over the event.

The survey, released Friday, found that while most Florida voters intend to watch Super Bowl LX, many Republican viewers will tune out once the halftime show begins.

According to the poll, 68% of registered Florida voters said they plan to watch the Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

Among those viewers, 75% of Democrats, 65% of Republicans, and 63% of independents said they will watch the game itself.

The numbers shift dramatically when voters were asked specifically about the halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.

89% of Democrats said they plan to watch the halftime performance, compared with just 40% of Republicans.

Independent voters fell closer to Democrats, with 77% saying they will tune in for the show.

The poll also revealed large differences across racial demographics.

93% of black voters and 81% of Hispanic voters said they plan to watch the halftime show, while only 58% of white voters said the same.

Age also played a major role in responses.

80% of voters under the age of 55 said they would watch the halftime show, compared with 54% of voters aged 55 and older.

Gender differences were smaller but still present, with 72% of women and 63% of men saying they plan to watch, per Breitbart News.

The poll surveyed 823 registered Florida voters and was conducted by the Public Opinion Research Lab and Sport Impact Jax at the University of North Florida.

The margin of error was plus or minus 4%, according to the survey methodology.

Turning Point USA is hosting an All-American Halftime Show featuring Kid Rock as the headliner.

Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett are also scheduled to perform during the conservative event.

Bad Bunny has become a polarizing figure among conservatives due to his outspoken political views.

The rapper has been openly critical of President Donald Trump and has opposed his immigration enforcement policies.

In October, Bad Bunny refused to stand for “God Bless America” during a New York Yankees game.

He also aligned himself with anti-ICE messaging echoed by celebrities at last weekend’s Grammy Awards.

Politics may surface even earlier in the broadcast during the kickoff performance.

The NFL is set to feature the band Green Day before the teams take the field.

Green Day has drawn attention for altering lyrics during live performances to target MAGA supporters.

While some speculate the band could avoid controversy on Sunday, critics remain skeptical that the broadcast will stay apolitical.

The poll underscores how even the Super Bowl has become another front in America’s widening cultural and political divide.
