Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, has announced that she is cancer-free following a months-long battle with breast cancer, sharing an emotional family celebration featuring her boyfriend, golf legend Tiger Woods.
The 48-year-old revealed Friday that she had successfully completed treatment after being diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma earlier this year.
On Sunday, October 25, Trump shared photographs on Instagram showing her celebrating alongside Woods, her daughter Kai Trump and one of her sons.
The family gathered around a ceremonial bell beneath a colorful “Congratulations” banner to mark the end of her cancer treatment.
The photographs offered a rare glimpse into Trump’s personal life and the support she received while undergoing treatment.
Her announcement also came during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, prompting her to speak publicly about her diagnosis and the symptoms she experienced before doctors discovered the disease.
“For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I sat down with my daughter and Dr. Nicole Saphier to share my journey with breast cancer,” Trump wrote on Instagram.
“It was a long and challenging journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support of the people who surrounded me along the way.”
Trump said she hoped that sharing her experience would encourage others to take their health seriously.
“By sharing my story, I hope to encourage others to prioritize their health, schedule their screenings, and understand the importance of early detection,” she added.
Trump was diagnosed in April with invasive ductal carcinoma, a type of breast cancer that begins in the milk ducts and spreads into surrounding breast tissue.
She publicly disclosed the diagnosis the following month.
During her interview with Kai and Saphier, Trump described experiencing significant fatigue for approximately six months before learning she had cancer.
She recalled feeling “extreme fatigue” that made ordinary activities increasingly difficult.
In one instance, Trump said she became “extremely tired” roughly two hours after visiting Starbucks, describing how the exhaustion interfered with her daily routine.
The mother of five explained that the symptoms were initially difficult to recognize because fatigue can easily be dismissed as part of everyday responsibilities.
She described the exhaustion as “hard to detect” when interpreted as “a normal mom symptom.”
Following her diagnosis, Trump underwent a lumpectomy, a surgical procedure designed to remove cancerous tissue while preserving much of the surrounding breast.
She subsequently completed three courses of radiation treatment.
Doctors also removed four lymph nodes, which were found to be clear of cancer.
According to Trump, her physicians attributed the disease to environmental factors rather than an inherited genetic predisposition.
After completing treatment, she underwent a follow-up MRI to assess her condition.
The results delivered encouraging news.
Trump revealed that her “results came back clear,” allowing her to celebrate the completion of a difficult stage in her cancer journey.
Despite the milestone, she acknowledged that ongoing medical monitoring will remain part of her life.
Trump expects to undergo regular scans three to four times annually over the next five to 10 years.
She also anticipates taking medication for five to 10 years as part of her continued care.
The celebration attracted additional attention because Woods appeared alongside Trump and her children.
The couple has largely maintained privacy surrounding their relationship, making the family photographs an uncommon public appearance together.
Woods’ presence highlighted the personal support surrounding Trump as she marked the completion of treatment.
Beyond celebrating her recovery, Trump used the announcement to draw attention to the importance of cancer screenings.
She also encouraged supporters to assist patients receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Her message emphasized the value of recognizing warning signs and seeking medical attention rather than dismissing persistent symptoms, per Trending Politics.
“If sharing my experience encourages even one person to get checked, it’s worth it,” Trump wrote.
Although her follow-up imaging showed no evidence of cancer, Trump will continue receiving medical care and surveillance in the years ahead.
For now, the former president’s daughter-in-law is celebrating a major personal milestone alongside her family after months of treatment.
