Reporter Seemingly Reveals Unexpected Source Behind Noem Husband’s Secret Double Life, ‘Bimbofication’ Fetish

An Axios reporter has revealed that a tip about the alleged secret online activities of Bryon Noem, husband of former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, landed in his inbox weeks before the story broke publicly.

Marc Caputo, a veteran reporter at Axios, disclosed that a source reached out to him on Feb. 13 with information about Bryon Noem’s reported online alter ego — weeks before the Daily Mail published its account.

“Yeah, I got a weird lead,” a source texted Caputo on Feb. 13, according to the reporter’s own account.

The source told Caputo that an immigrant sex worker, possibly residing in the United States illegally, wanted to go public about Bryon Noem using her services online.

The motive, according to the source, was retaliation against DHS immigration enforcement.

Caputo later shared the exchange on social media, explaining that he does so to offer transparency about how reporting works.

“I’m sharing because folks sometimes wonder how reporting works,” he wrote.

The reporter noted that pursuing the story would have required him to independently verify the information and speak directly with the accuser — steps he said he did not complete before the Daily Mail ran its own independently reported story.

“Here, I would’ve needed to talk to the accuser & verified the info the way the Mail did,” Caputo wrote. “When we use anonymous sources: they’re credible.”

The Daily Mail’s report revealed that Bryon Noem, 56, maintains an online persona in which he engages in what is known as “bimbofication” — a fetish involving roleplaying as a hypersexualized figure, including the use of fake oversized breasts and tight clothing.

The outlet reported it had obtained hundreds of messages connected to three separate women who interacted with Bryon Noem’s alter ego in that capacity.

“It’s called bimbofication. People who modify their body to look like a doll. The Barbie look,” one model told the Daily Mail. “His kink is for huge, huge ridiculous boobs.”

At the time of this writing, Bryon Noem has not made any public statement in response to the report.

Kristi Noem, 54, released a statement through a spokesperson following the story’s publication. “The family was blindsided by this. They ask for privacy and prayers at this time,” the spokesperson said.

Kristi Noem described herself as “devastated” by the report concerning her husband.

Kristi and Bryon Noem met as teenagers at Hamlin High School in South Dakota and married in 1992, when she was 20 years old and attending college. The couple has three adult children: Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker.

Kristi Noem was removed from her position as DHS Secretary earlier this month when President Trump announced the decision via a Truth Social post. She became the first Cabinet secretary to leave her post during Trump’s second term.

Her tenure came under scrutiny after a $220 million ad campaign featuring Noem that encouraged people in the country illegally to leave voluntarily became a central point of contention.

Noem has also faced longstanding reports that she engaged in an extramarital relationship with Corey Lewandowski, a Trump political operative who served as a special government employee at DHS.

Both Noem and Lewandowski have denied those allegations; however, reports have said that the situation has been described in Washington circles as an open secret for months.
