Tight Restrictions Surround Tiger Woods, Trump Family: Insider

One of the most celebrated athletes in American sports history found himself at the center of a serious legal situation last week when Tiger Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Jupiter Island, Florida.

The incident began when Woods’ vehicle made contact with another car before ultimately rolling over on the roadway.

Law enforcement administered a Breathalyzer test at the scene, and the results came back at 0.00 percent — meaning no alcohol was detected in his system whatsoever. Despite clearing that hurdle, Woods declined to submit a urine sample when officers requested one.

Those close to the situation say his refusal was tied to years of prescription pain medication use related to the long and grueling physical toll his career has taken on his body.

This was not Woods’ first brush with this particular charge. Back in 2017, authorities discovered the golf legend asleep at the wheel of a vehicle with the engine still running, resulting in a DUI arrest that made international headlines at the time.

The legal trouble has now created complications that extend well beyond the courtroom and into the inner circle of the first family.

Secret Service agents responsible for protecting members of the Trump family have made a firm decision: Woods will not be behind the wheel when the President’s grandchildren are in the vehicle.

A source familiar with the matter told the New York Post that agents are “certainly not letting Tiger Woods — even without the DUI” drive the children.

Resist the Mainstream previously reported that Woods and Vanessa Trump have been in a romantic relationship since 2024, bringing the golf star into close proximity with one of the country’s most high-profile families.

Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. ended their marriage in 2018 after more than a decade together. The former couple are parents to five children.

President Trump was asked directly about his longtime friend’s accident and did not hesitate to stand by him.

“I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine,” the president told reporters gathered nearby.

Trump went on to add, “He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty.”

The two men have built a friendship over the course of roughly twenty years, regularly sharing time on the golf course together. Woods has also been welcomed at the White House on previous occasions.

Woods’ personal struggles appear to be testing one of Washington’s most unexpected friendships — but for now, the president is standing firmly in his corner.
