Crews responding to rooftop Fire at Downtown Toronto building

Toronto fire crews are responding to a rooftop fire at a downtown building.

Aerial images show intense flames and thick black smoke coming from the roof on Richmond Street West near John Street. Police said the fire was reported just after 6 p.m., and the building is currently under construction.

Authorities also said there are reports of possible explosions, with debris potentially falling onto the street below.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Richmond Street West is closed between Peter and Duncan Streets as crews work the scene.
