Trump Suffers Bombshell MAGA Exit

A sudden resignation inside the Trump administration is fueling new speculation that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard could be the next official to step down.

The shake-up began after Joe Kent abruptly resigned as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

Kent, a close ally of Gabbard, stepped down in a public letter where he criticized the Iran war.

He claimed the conflict was launched “due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”

“I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war,” Kent wrote.

The resignation immediately sent shockwaves through Washington.

Following his departure, prediction market Kalshi showed Gabbard’s odds of leaving the administration jumping to 59%, a sharp 20-point increase.

Kent had worked directly under Gabbard, making his exit especially significant.

Both Kent and Gabbard have previously expressed skepticism about U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts.

Their views align with parts of the “America First” wing of the Republican Party, including Vice President JD Vance.

Gabbard broke her silence shortly after Kent’s resignation, issuing her first public statement since the Iran war began.

“Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief,” she said.

“He is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat.”

She defended the president’s decision to strike Iran.

“After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat,” Gabbard said.

Notably, her statement did not mention Kent or directly address his claims about outside pressure.

President Donald Trump also weighed in on the resignation.

“I always thought he was a nice guy, but I thought he was very weak on security,” Trump said.

“Very weak on security.”

Trump added that Kent’s stance on Iran confirmed he should no longer be in the role.

“When I read his statement, I realized that it’s a good thing that he’s out,” Trump said.

“He said Iran was not a threat.”

Behind the scenes, tensions may have been building for some time.

Reports indicate Gabbard had previously complained about Kent internally, per the Daily Mail.

One official told Fox News that Kent was considered a “known leaker.”

Others claimed he was not directly involved in key Iran briefings.

There are also conflicting reports about whether Gabbard was asked to remove Kent from his position.

So far, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has not publicly commented on those claims.

The situation leaves Gabbard in a difficult position.

She is now caught between defending the administration’s foreign policy and being linked to a high-profile resignation tied to internal dissent.

The spike in prediction market odds reflects growing uncertainty about her future in the administration.

At the same time, divisions within Trump’s national security team are becoming more visible.

Some officials continue to support the Iran campaign as necessary for U.S. security.

Others have raised concerns about the risks of deeper involvement in the conflict.

For now, Gabbard remains in her role.

But after Kent’s sudden exit, attention is turning to whether she could be the next major figure to leave Trump’s inner circle.
