Internet Mocks McDonald’s CEO Over Incredibly Bizarre Burger Tasting Video

McDonald’s CEO and Chairman Chris Kempczinski found himself at the center of widespread social media ridicule after a video of him attempting to eat the chain’s newest oversized burger went viral.

The clip, posted last month, showed Kempczinski trying the new Big Arch burger ahead of its U.S. launch.

“I love this product, it is so good. I’m going to do a tasting right now, but I’m going to eat this for my lunch, just so you know,” Kempczinski told the camera.

The CEO described the sandwich’s ingredients, noting it features “two quarter-pound patties, a delicious Big Arch sauce, and of course, some lettuce, along with crispy onions and pickles.”

Kempczinski then visibly struggled to approach the oversized burger, stating he “didn’t even know how to attack it” before hesitantly lifting it toward his mouth.

After taking what many observers described as a notably small bite, the CEO turned the burger toward the camera and declared, “Mmm, that is so good, that’s a big bite for a Big Arch.”

Social media users wasted no time responding to the clip, with many questioning whether Kempczinski regularly eats at his own restaurants.

“Man’s aura screams kale salad,” one Instagram user commented directly on the video.

Another user wrote, “This was the most unnatural thing I’ve ever seen,”

A third commenter asked, “Why does he look like he’s scared to bite it?”

Several users also took issue with Kempczinski’s use of corporate terminology when referring to the food item.

“It Scares me when you call food ‘product,’” one commenter wrote. The most-liked comment on the post read: “He def don’t eat Mcdonals [sic].”

NRN reported that the Big Arch officially launched in the United States on March 3, 2026, and is available nationwide for a limited time.

The outlet further noted that McDonald’s began testing the Big Arch in three international markets in mid-2024 after executives noted an opportunity to drive future growth in beef market share.

The burger was officially introduced in France in April 2025 and became the country’s top-selling burger, even after the media campaign ended.

QSR Magazine reported that the Big Arch then debuted in the U.K. in mid-June 2025, performing well enough to earn a permanent spot on the menu. QSR Magazine

The new Big Arch burger contains 1,020 calories, an amount comparable to a complete Big Mac Meal including fries and a medium Coke, according to the McDonald’s website.

The burger features two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese, both crispy and slivered onions, zesty pickles, crisp lettuce, and a new Big Arch Sauce described as tangy and creamy with mustard, pickle, and sweet tomato flavors, all served on a toasted sesame and poppy seed bun.

Kempczinski has said plans are to expand the burger to nearly all markets by the end of 2026.
