Legal scholar Jonathan Turley said in a newly circulated video that former President Bill Clinton’s deposition in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation could include questions about emails and the former president’s ties to the financier.
“BOMBSHELLS INCOMING,” the X account Defiant Ls wrote while sharing the clip. “Legal Scholar @JonathanTurley just laid it out for the American people on what to expect from Slick Willy’s deposition.”
In the video, Turley said, “In fact, Hillary Clinton seemed to sort of throw Bill UNDER THE BUS.”
He continued, “They’re going to get specific questions about these emails in which Epstein is indicating that he was NOT ONLY just a great contributor but HELPED ESTABLISH THIS INITIATIVE and helped them, helped the Clintons in their efforts.”
Turley’s comments come as former President Bill Clinton testified before the House Oversight Committee regarding his past association with Epstein. Clinton told lawmakers under oath, “I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.”
The former president also stated, “I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing.”
During his opening remarks, Clinton criticized Republican lawmakers for subpoenaing Hillary Clinton. “You made Hillary come in,” he said. “She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing.”
Hillary Clinton testified one day earlier and said she never met Epstein, according to prior reporting. She deferred questions about her husband’s relationship with the financier.
Turley suggested that investigators may press Bill Clinton about correspondence referenced in Department of Justice files. He specifically referenced emails in which Epstein allegedly described himself as contributing to or helping establish initiatives linked to the Clintons.
“They’re going to get specific questions,” Turley said, referring to potential lines of inquiry during the deposition.
The video circulated widely on X, where users debated whether additional details about Clinton’s interactions with Epstein would emerge. The Defiant Ls account added, “The truth needs to come out. ALL OF IT!”
Newly released photographs from DOJ files show Clinton aboard a private jet with an unidentified woman. Another image shows him in a hot tub alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence related to sex trafficking minors.
Clinton addressed the photographs during his testimony. “No matter how many photos you show me,” he said, “I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn’t see.”
He added that by the time Epstein’s 2008 guilty plea became public, he had “long stopped associating with him.”
Turley’s comments focus on what questions lawmakers may ask rather than alleging specific wrongdoing. At the time of publication, the Oversight Committee had not released a full transcript of Clinton’s deposition.
