Bitcoin sent to wallet tied to alleged kidnapper in Nancy Guthrie case

Bitcoin has reportedly been sent to a wallet connected to the alleged kidnapper of Nancy Guthrie, according to TMZ.

Levin reported that a payment was made to a cryptocurrency wallet believed to be associated with the individual claiming responsibility for the disappearance of Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie. Authorities have not publicly confirmed the transaction.

The development comes after two unverified notes were sent to multiple media outlets by a person claiming to have kidnapped Guthrie from her home in Arizona. In the messages, the sender demanded a ransom to be paid in bitcoin and set a deadline of 5 p.m. Pacific Time for the payment.

This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
