President Donald Trump shocked the world on Monday after seemingly confirming that former First Lady Michelle Obama used former President Joe Biden’s autopen.
The president took decisive action last week and terminated all of his predecessors’ autopen-related actions, arguing that such methods were illegal. An autopen is a device that automatically signs documents, meaning the official signer does not need to be present.
Biden used an autopen for a multitude of pardons, including those of former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), General Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci and the Biden family.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump announced the termination of Biden’s autopen-related moves.
“Any document signed by Sleepy Joe Biden with the Autopen, which was approximately 92% of them, is hereby terminated, and of no further force or effect,” Trump wrote.
“The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States. The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him,” Trump added.
“I am hereby cancelling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden, because the people who operated the Autopen did so illegally. Joe Biden was not involved in the Autopen process and, if he says he was, he will be brought up on charges of perjury,” the president concluded.
Trump shared over 100 posts on Truth Social in the span of 5 hours, mostly sharing videos from MAGA allies such as Benny Johnson and others, Trending Politics reported.
However, one post caught the eye of many.
The president reshared a post made by Infowars host Alex Jones that accused Michelle Obama of illegally using Biden’s autopen to issue pardons shortly before Trump’s inauguration in January.
“WILD: Michelle Obama May Have Used Biden’s Autopen in the Final Days of His Disastrous Administration to Pardon Key Individuals, Patrick Byrne Reveals,” Jones wrote on X.
Conservatives reacted to the president’s post, with some noting that they weren’t surprised by Michelle’s alleged actions.
“Would anyone really be surprised?!! There was probably an open door policy…everyone got a chance to use the pen!” one person wrote on X.
Others expressed the grave severity of the possible actions, pointing out that, if proven true, it would indicate one of the “highest” levels of “corruption” by a presidential administration in U.S. history.
“Using an autopen to sign pardons on behalf of an incompetent president… is forgery, abuse of power, and a direct violation of the Constitution,” a user said.
